...euthanasia, like race, is one of those things nobody wants to talk about. It makes people very uncomfortable. I think euthanasia is, is an important thing and it should be there for people to make that decision if they chose to. It should be available to them with counseling like a lot of other things. And I'm a big fan of Jack's because he believed that he could help people who were in, in a place where no one was helping them. And where, where it was too much.

Yamhill, Oregon boy wakes up after two years in a PSV

After nearly two years of lying in a coma a 9 year old Yamhill, Oregon boy woke up from a coma. Doctors described Devon Rivers as being in a PSV (persistive vegetative state) with no hope for recovery.

His mother said "He was dying before our eyes. He literally could no longer breathe."

Doctors could not figure out what happened to the boy or why he was in the coma. The father said "We were told that there would be no hope, that he would not get any better than he was".
