On Monday, a star-studded pro-life line-up - Lila Rose, Judie Brown, Pastor Walter Hoye, and Bella movie producers Jason Jones and Leo Severino - announced the launch of the CA Human Rights Campaign.
This will be an effort to add the Human Rights Amendment as a CA ballot initiative in 2010.
If passed, the amendment would "recognize[ ] the inherent human rights, dignity and worth of all human beings from the beginning of their biological development," read a statement.
In other words, we have here another personhood initiative.
This followed the Aug. 24 announcement that the CO Title Board had approved language for a personhood ballot initiative redo there in 2010.
And the Sept. 2 announcement that the MT attorney general had approved language for a personhood ballot initiative there in 2010.
And the Sept. 11 announcement that language had been submitted to the FL secretary of state for a personhood ballot initiative there in 2010.
And the Sept. 17 announcement that pro-lifers had submitted language to the MO secretary of state for a personhood ballot initiative there in 2010....
Then there are the legislative personhood efforts....
So the personhood movement has quickly grown too big to contain, and it has not been just pro-aborts interested in doing so....
The most interesting educational component of personhood endeavors is what they force the other side to admit. From the LA Times...

Pro-lifers are waking up to the fact that the womb-phase of life is the crux of the life issue. We must focus relentlessly on the life in utero without exception to force the debate back to the preborn's humanity, who by nature is a member of our human family. Early pro-life voices were smothered by the pro-abortion language and imagery of choice, privacy, and woman's rights; we fumbled the ball and let them shift the debate, with the help of the media, from the truth and consequences of each abortion--the murder of an innocent living person. As the sciences have ammased evidence that proves what we've always known to be true from experience, and common sense; the zygote in utero is a tiny one-celled person with a full-sized right to life. Pro-choicers, in denial of reality, dodge logic and science to mitigate their guilt. Every preborn, from the earliest zygote stage to birth, is a separate, individuated person with a full complement of DNA; he or she is an innocent, voiceless, and defenseless with the right to be born, and to breathe free. The instant the womb-phase of life begins, that life is equal to every other living human person, be it b aby, child, child, teen, adult, or senior. It's our duty as responsible citizens to protect that life. Writers for Life
I thought if personhood was granted to the unborn , the babies would be protected by the constitution of the United States. I am praying for the end of abortion so anything we can do to save the babies is awesome. Thanks for the hard work. Sincerely Harry J. Schroeder
I am prolife and a faith based not for profit ministry. I am trying to raise money to purchase a home on Long Island for pregnant young women. These women need a safe place to live. They need to know that they do have choices and abortion is not their only choice. I want to help give them that chance. Do you know anyone that would like to help me and my committe raise the funds to purchase home for these young women and their babies? If you do please email me. Or write to me at Vision Ministries POB 655 Hampton Bays, NY 11946
Thank you and God Bless You Phyllis
I AM SO FOR LIFE! I DO NOT LIKE ABORTION!
I HATE THAT PEOPLE WILL CREATE SOMETHING SO GOOD LIKE THAT AND THEN TARE IT APART! THATS JUST WRONG ON THEIR PART! I DONT THINK THAT IF YOU MAKE A BABY AND THEN CANT RAISE IT JUST PUT IT UP FOR ADOPTION! I THINK THAT MR.OBAMA NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS FACTOR NOW!
"In other words, [the pill and IUDs] may abort.
Not that this educational process won't make those pro-lifers who avoid discussing contraception uncomfortable.
As it should."
This has simply not been discussed for way too long.
Pro-lifers have been discussing, and debating, contraception for decades; pro-choicers and their supporters use it, as they have with other issues, to shift the debate away from the civil rights of the new person in the womb. Contraception is the personal choice of those who practice it, and like any serious decision, they are responsible for the actions that follow from that choice. Contraception (that is not abortifacient) is related to abortion as a condition, not as a cause. The two issues, abortion (the act of killing a person) and contraception (that does not abort) are not intrinsically related; they are separate and distinct in their cause and effect. Pro-lifers must insist on holding the debate to the core question; then the end of legal abortion is inevitable. Writers for Life
I had a different kind of quiestion. It is about people on life support. My daughter was told in school that she needed to write a persuasive essay, and she chose abortion, but they told her she needed to find something else to write about because to many people had an opinion on that subject. So she chose to write about people that are on life support. If you have no body function of your own,and they take you off life support is that not murder also? This is what she has asked me and I would appreciate your feedback.
