MEDIA ADVISORY, Aug. 13/Christian Newswire -
Concerned Roman Catholics of America monitored the proceedings at the Knights of Columbus Supreme Convention, held this year in Phoenix, AZ, from Aug. 4-6. The K of C, the world's largest Catholic fraternal group, are notorious for their continuing failure to expel pro-abortion and pro-homosexual politicians.
CRCOA President Ken Fisher stated:
Over three days of wining and dining by Knights, cardinals, bishops and guests, 10k of our pre-born brothers and sisters were killed by abortion in the USA and Canada. We heard the usual empty rhetoric from Supreme Knight Carl Anderson and saw more resolutions passed for show. If the K of C ever enforces these resolutions, we will be glad to report it. In 2008, only 11% ($3.4 of $32.3 million) given by Home Office to charity went to pro-life. By contrast, $3.8 million went to the K of C museum!
36 years and 51 million abortions since Roe v. Wade, the K of C has not expelled the pro-abortion and pro-homosexual politicians, and the bishops - many of whom are K of C members - have not excommunicated them. Indeed, K of C Cardinal Sean O'Malley supported his 6 Caritas Christi hospitals in abortion referral on March 12, 2009.
Opinion polls published by the Knights of Columbus and others, tell us that the nation is becoming more pro-life. The only true opinion polls are elections, which return pro-abortion politicians time and time again. In August 2009, Catholic pro-abortion politicians in Congress outnumber the pro-life by 101 to 48 - a ratio of 2 to 1 - the same as in the last Congress!
Anderson has led the K of C for the last nine years, following in the footsteps of Virgil Dechant who told me in 2005 that pro-abortion politicians will 'never' be expelled! Anderson has failed, so he must go.

It is a scandal to see pro abortionists and pro homosexuals in the knights. But we can't expect the knights to act if our worldly bishops won't. They (bishops) are guilty of far worse compromises to the Faith than are the knights, and they bear an even greater responsibility for it.
Politicians who support unlimited killing of human beings in the unborn stage of our lives are NOT Catholics. They are NOT Christians. They are criminal abortionist politicians who would each receive life in prison for their aiding, abetting and promoting crimes against humanity if we lived in a just and free society, which unfortunately we do not.
They should all be excommunicated, they should all be impeached, they should all be prosecuted.
Please do not refer to abortionist politicians as "Catholic". There are NO abortionist Catholics in the House or Senate or anywhere else for that matter. "Abortionist Catholic" (or Christian) is a contradiction in terms.
After 36 long years of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, we still have not penetrated the top level markets where the major control of abortion resides, in politics and in the courts. And except for a few dozen Cardinals and Bishops, our Church leaders have been too timid, too careful and unwilling to fight the battle of true apostleship. Don’t expect the Knights of Columbus to do what the bishops won’t do. I have said, and still believe, that the American Church should be willing to risk its tax exemption to stop the killing of our preborn citizens. We have Christ’s promise that the Church will survive!
The new Catholic Catechism for Adults says it clearly, Christ chose his apostles, and the apostles chose men to be bishops to succeed them, and handed on to them “what they received from Jesus’ teaching and example, and what they learned from the Holy Spirit. The pope and bishops in union with him are successors of the Apostles and inherit the responsibility of authoritative teaching.” I believe Pope Paul's “be not afraid” message was directed primarily to our American Bishops. He was hoping that they would “act” heroically because he knew that the world would be watching the American Church, and the American media.
At the Capitol Mall in Washington, D.C., on October 7, 1979, Pope John Paul II said, “If a person’s right to life is violated at the moment in which he (or she) is first conceived in the mother’s womb, an indirect blow is struck also at the whole of the moral order, which serves to ensure the inviolable goods of man. Among those goods, life occupies the first place.”
We have suffered years of political correctness (censorship of language that may offend political sensibilities) from the secular and some of our religious media. It has infected our religious leaders to the point that they have become religiously correct (censorship of language that may offend religious sensibilities) and the damage has been so great that it has virtually shifted our American Church off of its "rock" foundation. Christ's Shepherds have allowed His sheep to scatter and become confused. That's why 54% of American Catholics voted for a radically pro-abortion candidate, and why millions more of our innocent preborn children will die!
