WASHINGTON, D.C. -
On Tuesday, July 28 at 8:30 pm ET, FRC Action, the legislative lobbying arm of Family Research Council, will host a special one hour webcast to mobilize opposition to President Obama's proposed government takeover of the health care system. FRC Action President Tony Perkins will be joined by Congressional leaders to discuss the moral, ethical, and financial dangers of President Obama's health care plan. During the webcast, FRC Action will release a national TV ad that will run in key battleground states.
Webcast viewers will be mobilized to:
- stop taxpayer funding of abortions
- protect the conscience rights of health care workers, and
- prevent a government takeover that will impose a massive tax and debt burden
"President Obama and his liberal allies in Congress have ignored the moral, ethical, and financial dangers of this plan," said FRC Action President Tony Perkins, "The takeover will suffocate small business owners with incalculable new taxes. And it would mandate taxpayer funded abortion, abortifacient drugs and limit end-of-life care. From the inevitability of rationed care to diminishing human dignity, the President's plan amounts to a prescription for a health care disaster. This webcast will mobilize concerned citizens who increasingly understand the dangerous implications of what Mr. Obama is proposing."
