Det. Tom Stolz of the Wichita Policed Department just held a press conference regarding the shooting death of late-term abortionist George Tiller. A 51-year-old man has been taken into custody for what was described as a "targeted attack" on Tiller. The suspect is also alleged to have threatened witnesses who attempted to intervene. The suspect's name was not released and potential affiliations are either unknown or not disclosed. Police said Tiller died of a single gun shot wound.
Update: Although Stolz refused to release the man's name, Johnson County sheriff's spokesman Tom Erickson identified the detained man as Scott Roeder.

Please let this have been a patient's grieved family member and not some antiabortion kook.
This is such a bright day for Satan. How much darker will things get for us before we start to see light?
"Please let this have been a patient's grieved family member and not some anti-abortion kook."
Yeah, what would be the odds? I don't like your chances.
You never know. And God knows Tiller gave his patients and their loved ones plenty of reason to hate him and the horse he rode in on.

I don't think you know what kind of abortions Dr. Tiller performed. His clients has WANTED pregnancies in which something went tragically wrong, and the fetus will not survive long after birth, or is already dead.
Now women will have to carry a dead fetus or a fetus with no brain or some other horrible occurrence for 9 months because of some ignorant, disgusting murderer.
First of all, fs, not all of Tiller's post viability patients had gotten an unfavorable diagnosis. In fact, most of them were aborting for "depressive episode" -- nothing to do with anything wrong with the baby.
And those who WERE aborting because there was something wrong with the baby?
First of all, not all of these were "incompatible with life" scenarios. Down syndrome. Dwarfism. And extra arm.
Second of all, these women were all late in their pregnancies. They'd not be carrying their ailing babies for nine additional months.
Third of all, removing a baby who has died in utero is not an abortion. Any ob/gyn will do that locally. The reason these women traveled to Kansas is because they were so far advanced in pregnancies with LIVE BABIES that nobody local was willing to kill the baby for them.
Fourth of all, what kind of vulture gets rich taking money from mothers who are still reeling in shock after getting an unfavorable diagnosis, instead of referring them for proper care? Abortion destroys all possible hope and makes the mother complicit in the child's death. Perinatal hospice supports her, gives her hope, and gives her an opportunity to hold and love her child rather than push him out, macerated and rotting, into a basement toilet.
If you think what Tiller did was somehow humane, please don't ever try to befriend me!
Not all babies had a bleak prognoises. Some were aborted beacuse they had no where else to go. Convience abortions, if you will.
I can only imagine that the man who shot Tiller was acting under his version of beliefs being fed to him by his religion and whatever media outlets that may have coincided with those religious beliefs.
In my opinion; he acted no differently that an Al Qaeda follower or suicide bomber might have acted.
Ironically, this does nothing to promote the so-called "Pro-Life" movement.
Whether you believe in a woman's right to choose or not; this is not the answer.
Jesus,
Died for all, He even died for Barabas, the Murderer, whose place he took, He an innocent Lamb, died for a Murderer. We cannot play God.
That was and is the Sin of Satan.
