Pro-life? No, murderers yourselves. Shame on you.
There is no explanation for this type of actions....God bless the Dr. and his family/friends...as well as the person who perpetrated this as they ALL will suffer as well...
We still do not know the reason why George Tiller was killed. Nevertheless, the pro-life movement does not favor the killing for any reason! We seek the conversion and not the killing of those whom we hope and pray will be won over by our love and by the love of Jesus as has happened with many former abortion providers and pro-abortionists like Dr. Bernard Nathanson (co-founder of NARAL) and Norma McCorvey (the "Jane Roe" of Roe vs. Wade). For a few examples, see: http://prolifeaction.org/providers/
We as pro-lifers believe that God does not desire the death of the sinner, but that he repent and live (Ezekiel 18:32; 33:11)
We do not fight violence with violence or murder with murder. We are committed to fighting the culture of death through prayer and through education. That has been the constant message of pro-lifer leaders and advocates for decades.
It is wrong for people who oppose pro-lifers to use this as an opportunity to accuse us with the false sweeping generalization that "pro-lifers" are violence. It is a well documented fact that "pro-choicers" commit more acts of violence compared to pro-lifers. http://abortionviolence.com/
Finally, I will keep George Tiller and his family in my thoughts and prayers. My heart is saddened for them as they face this tragedy. May they find joy and peace in the love and forgiveness of our Blessed Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
Unbelievable. That any Lutheran Church would let a man like that in as any official worker for them. It boggles the mind that they had not put him out of fellowhip long ago. You'd have thought that since it was the Lutheran denomination that supported Hitler they'd have learned their lessons to put doers of abonimations out of their fellowships. These kinds of Churches are exactly the reason so many will not even consider Christ. They're far worse than un-beleiver's. And if you think on it, it is amazing considering how many are anti-abortion in the USA, that the numbers are infintesimal of those who loose their minds and kill and/or attempt to kill these things walking around in human form like Tiller. That he called himself a Christian is just plain an abomination. Still, murder is wrong, on either side of this issue. That Lutheran "Church" should repent in dust and ashes for usurping the Name of Jesus. They play a part in all this. If they'd put Tiller out of fellowship, he might have learned his sin. It's on them too now.
Please... It was not a group of pro-lifers that shot this man. One person did it and no one has stated why yet. At least wait until more information comes out before you start sling your mud.
What that doctor did was wrong. So was his murder. The man who shot him should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Murder is wrong.
The person who did the killing committed murder - but even if the killer claimed to be pro-life - which he clearly was not - that does not mean the entire pro-life movement is guilty.
That's like saying because a teacher klled someone all teachers are killers, or that because a mother killed someone all mothers are killers, or that because a Free Mason killed someone all Free Masons are killers.
This is murder, and it is to be condemned.
Shame on you. What this killer did was wrong; Jesus would not bless this crime.
It cracks me up that when referring to DR. TILLER, he is referenced as Mr. Tiller or George Tiller in comments from the "Anti-Abortion" community. In the same statement, Mr. Colasanto refers to "Dr. Bernard Nathanson" (a convert to the "cause").
The intentional insult, refusing to refer to a Medical Doctor, as DOCTOR, breeds an atmosphere of hatred in these groups, whether it be intential or not, that is the fact. That is the way it is. And it is NOT christian.
Despite protests to the contrary, there is hatred bred in these groups. You can be sure that the person who did this is a member.
Shame.

In my blog, I refer to him as Dr. George Tiller.
"A Free Mason killed someone - all Free Masons are killers".
This analogy might well have substance when one considers motive. It is possible that a Free Mason as someone in business could have more reason than others to commit such a crime.
Murder doesn't just 'happen'.
