As I look across America's landscape, I ask myself, "What is going on here?"
1. We aren't suppose to use the word "terrorist" to describe a terrorist who wants to kill Americans. We can only use it for pro-lifers, returning military, or those who generally disagree with anything the Obama administration stands for.
2. Miss California, Carrie Prejean, says that (brace yourself) marriage should be between a man and a woman, and she was demonized by the person asking the question. If she would have said she was pro-life, she probably would have been arrested on the spot for being a right-wing terrorist. Thank you Miss California for not backing down.
3. The Democrats led by President Obama decry the torture of prisoners, and there are many questions if most of that was actually torture. But even if they are right, since these same people are for abortion, they agree to the torture of unborn babies. It's real torture to dismember, suction, or use a saline solution on the unborn until it dies. Obama even believes that if they don't die using these procedures, they should be left to die outside of the womb. According to them, the populace should have the right to choose torture on the innocent lives of the unborn.
4. What's behind most of what the far left fights for is ultimately their goal to silence any Christian. For example, they eventually want it to be a hate crime to say anything negative about gay marriage from the pulpit, in church groups, or just in private conversations.
5. The global warming movement is one of the biggest frauds and scams ever perpetrated in American history.
6. We have a leader of America, who obviously doesn't like this country. He hasn't said a sincere positive word either here or overseas about capitalism, businesses, or the people running those businesses. He has criticized many leaders who came before him, and he would like nothing better than to silence anyone who disagrees with him. The people he doesn't try to silence are the dictators who are bashing the United States. He listens to them, and then says nothing to discredit their beliefs.
7. Today Hillary Clinton said that she wanted abortion to be rare. Why doesn't anyone ever ask a Democrat who wants to make abortion rare, why he or she believes it should be rare? They should be put on the spot to answer that question honestly. Next question: If you want abortion to be rare for whatever, then why are you for somebody else having the right to have one? That's the same as saying that they want murder to be rare for whatever reason, but if someone else wants to do it, that's up to them.
8. If people who are against abortion are called pro-life, shouldn't the people who are for abortion be called pro-death?

It doesn't matter WHAT Ms. Prejean’s deeply-held OPINION is; the fact is that she was dead WRONG when she claimed that "We live in a land that you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage."
No, we CAN'T! I don't know what "land" you live in, honey, but just because YOU are free to choose "opposite" marriage if you want to, that doesn't mean that gays are free to choose "same-sex" marriage.
Her answer was not only factually WRONG, it was barely coherent and certainly not worthy of representing ANY state.
I don’t know why they bother asking these vapid airheads any questions at all. They ought to just bring the contestants out on a lead rope like they do at the Fat Stock Show and grade them on their bodies alone; after all, nobody expects the cows or pigs to answer questions (politically dicey ones or otherwise....)
(Just smile, say “Moo”, & move along quietly…)
I've said it before and I'll say it again- Homophobes are the biggest morons, and the biggest SISSIES, on the planet. I'd like to see even ONE of these supposedly deeply religious people live up to ALL the nonsensical rules in Leviticus; not just the parts that validate their bigotry.
Great comments and so very true. What happened to Carrie Prejean was so eye-opening. It was a real-life drama of the intolerance of the homosexual community, the very people who claim to be "tolerant." If anyone opposes same-sex marriage, they are immediately labeled as bigots, homophobes, etc. Their characters are assassignated, with no basis other than their opposition to same-sex marriage.
The above poster shows a similar response to Perez Hilton and to the homosexuals and activists who, after the passing of Prop 8, threatened and harrassed people who voted for Prop. 8, esp. Mormons and Catholics.
It seems to me as if our nation is becoming a nation that has been bullied by both pro-choice feministts and homosexuals (and the media who loves them both). They have the loudest voices, and they are angry, intimidating bullies, and it was gret to see Prejean to carry herself the way she did. She has stood by her comments, she has been polite and gracious, and she has emboldened alot of us and shown us that we do not have to allow ourselves to be bullied. We do not have to be "politically correct." Why should we let these people dicate the course of our nation, esp. when these people are a very small minority.
Way to go Carrie and I hope that others will follow her example!
