Kathleen Sebelius, Obama's pick to lead the nation's chief agency for health care, has made no secret of her radical support for the abortion movement. Indeed she has praised, defended and treated to dinner at the governor's mansion the notorious Dr. George Tiller - set to stand trial for performing illegal late term abortions.
Sebelius, an alleged Catholic, has been repeatedly rebuked by her archbishop for her pro-abortion work. In fact Archbishop Joseph Naumann has asked Sebelius not to receive Holy Communion in his archdiocese for her flagrant support for the intrinsic evil of abortion.
Appointing Gov. Sebelius to HHS Secretary is like appointing Dr. Jack Kevorkian as Surgeon General. Kathleen Sebelius poses a huge threat to the health and well-being of every single American, particularly those marginalized by the culture of death.
We the undersigned demand that our Senators, as our elected representatives, reject Obama's recommended appointment of Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to Health and Human Services Secretary.

It's a Democratic president; what did you expect. You would have been outraged at whoever he picked. You also know that you have absolutely no chance to stop it. You have every right to be loud in your opposition, but the idea that a petition will have anything other than a cathartic effect is downright delusional.

What are we to expect? The USSCB has allowed pro-choice Catholics to become desirable as political candidates to help draw votes from confused Catholics for liberal for pro-abortion politicians who keep getting promoted to higher political positions. Even the pro-choice "Catholic" political pundits get high paying jobs and a lot of media attention that draws even more Catholics into ignorantly voting for a radically pro-abortion president. It won’t change until the USCCB speaks out forcefully, officially, and publicly to express with undeniable clarity that a Catholic can't be pro-choice, be unrepentant, and still be a Catholic! Then the high-profile, pro-choice "Catholic" candidate and the pundits will become tainted by the truth; they will become less desirable in politics and in the media. Then turn around will begin. As of today, Catholics who ignorantly tend to be pro-choice have no clear direction. They remain confused and in waiting. If their Church leaders, as a body, step out of the shadows of ambiguity, into the forefront of the battle, to perform bravely in their pastoral leadership, Catholicism will get the boost it deserves.
