My two cents on Senator Sam Brownback and the Sebelius nomination

I've interviewed Sen. Sam Brownback and he has spoken at Blogs for Life a couple of times, but now, I've got to wonder, who is that masked man? Okay, so I've heard stories about him before, but I set aside the negatives, but now, no way!
What did Brownback have to say about the pro-death/pro-abortion nomination of Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius as the next Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS)?

Many pro-lifers are disappointed and angered by Sen. Brownback's endorsement but we need direct our outrage towards the real enemies of life, Gov. Sebelius and Barack Obama.
Senator Sam Brownback is a strong pro-lifer. He continues to be a strong pro-lifer. He has proven himself to be pro-life with his work in the Senate, we must not forget that.
Governor Sebelius supports abortion -- she is pro-abortion. It is no surprise the President Obama would appoint her to anything.
Anyone who thinks killing people is an answer to our society’s problems, should not be in charge of Health Care!!!
Therefore, oppose the appointment of Kathleen Sebelius as head of HHS. Contact BOTH your Senators and urge them to oppose the appointment as well. Senate contact info: http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm
Sam Brownback is NOT a strong pro-lifer. Anyone who was really pro-life in their heart, would never, ever, support a pro-abortion politician and vote for them. Sam Brownback put politics ahead of principle.
The pro-life movement has been stabbed in the back by politicians and so-called pro-lifers, for years now. When will prolifers learn? It is not what conservative politicians say, but what they do.
As St. Thomas More would say:
For Kansas, Sen. Brownback?

I have called all of Brownback's offices expressing anger regarding his position on the "fellow Kansan" and at one of the offices I was told by a staffer that she felt the same way I did, that she could not explain his idea to not oppose Sebelius for HHS. It is a good assumption that there are other people who work for Brownback who feel the same way.
The entire Republican Party has lost it. The GOP and the Dems are largely the same party now.
The GOP used to be the small govt, tax cut, anti-waste, pro-defense, pro-life party (and so did the Democrats longs ago).
Now the GOP is responsible for 40% of the earmarks, they grow Government the same as the Dems, will march our troops all over the globe but no southern-boarder security, and now pro-life isn't all that big a deal now.
It's a lot like living in a single-party state, with a game of GOP-Dem to appease both sides of every issue -- and collect money from interest groups at either end.
They are not serious about anything, and I would even dare say that they do not really want to solve any problem. If they did solve anything, that would give people less of a reason to support the Government party system.
It's a game. And they keep giving us reasons to look elsewhere at election time. The GOP may well go the way of the Whig Party.
