Many of you know that NBC refused to air and incredibly positive pro-life commercial during the Super Bowl. The ad, promoted by Catholicvote.org can be seen on Youtube.
So what to do?
Here is a modest suggestion. Call the local NBC affiliate and politely tell them that you will no longer be watching any NBC programming. Tell them that you are going to pass the word to everyone you know. Then explain that if the local affiliate will pick up the ad and run it for a week or two during the NBC Nightly News, you will consider that the local folks should not suffer for what the Corporate heads did.
Then follow up with an email to the NBC folks in New York and tell them how bigoted and prejudiced they are against African Americans who face terrible odds just to be born.
Remind them that if they are afraid to show the truth, they are not worth watching.
Then call a few advertisers and tell them that you a re no longer going to watch NBC.
Will it take a little effort? Yes.
And the reason that the effort will be worth it, is because you are speaking out in defense of life.
ACTION: Send your complaints about the rejection of the ad to Victoria Morgan, Vice President, Advertising Standards, NBC Universal, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, 1825 E. New York, NY 10112. Call (212) 664-4267 or fax (212) 664-6366 or email victoria.morgan@nbc.com

I turned off NBC years ago, and also refused all further interviews, after spending an hour with a reporter, only to have a soundbite used in an 'infomercial' for Planned Parenthood.
Blowing off the superbowl was just in keeping with old habits.
As the voice of Planned Parenthood, NBC could not have been expected to air that prolife commercial.
I noted that the white house lawyers have gotten busy in figuring out how to control the use of Obama's face in advertising. That news story came out right after the pro-life ad from Catholic Vote.
It blows my mind that Nancy Pelosi cares so much about making sure we spend millions of dollars we don't have on more insurance coverage for children while she would turn away and care so little about unborn children. And she calls herself an ardent, practicing Catholic. Would that she actually were and ardent, practicing Catholic. Then her compassion toward children would extend itself to all children, not just the ones who were lucky enough to make it out of the womb intact. Still, I remain optimistic that we will win over this kind of blind sided ignorance. The polls are showing that the American people can see what's really going on in the Obama regime and there none too happy about it. Sometimes it's anger that spurs change so maybe Barack Obama and the sycophantish network called NBC will end up being a really good thing for unborn babies, in the long run.
Why just go after NBC? The real problem for abortion is TV itself--or most of it. When teenagers watch all the barely-clothed people and all the actions usually confined to the bedroom, in front of them; how do you reduce pregnancies?
I think you hit the wrong end when you go after the politicians. Remember this is our government. We elect them, but unfortunately forget about government after that. We have email and should constantly tell our representatives and President what we think they should be doing.
What employer would hire someone and then ignore the employee after that, but complain a year down the road that he didn't do what the "boss" wanted? We hire politicians. We also hire TV and radio networks by buying products advertised.
Suggestion: turn off the TV, write the station then the network and tell them what you like and don't like AND WHY. Do it again and again and again!
Let's put the emphasis on stopping pregnancies for those not wanting children instead of complaining about abortion when it is too late for a started baby!
But, you are up against a rock. There's a program on about what people do in certain situations. Last night's "baby left alone in a hot car" and a dog left alone in a car were interesting.
Just watching how people act though, shows that many don't care about anyone else. Look at road rage and how the elderly are treated and how many kids are on the streets in our cities.
I think it is a one person at a time thing. At least that lowers our stress level while trying!
Ruth, What you don't get in your appeal for birth control is that abortion is birth control. The surest way to increase the usage of condoms is to ban abortion.
We've got condoms, IUD's, diaphragms, pills, foams, jellies, implants and injections. But what we don't have is self-control. The very women who demand abortion to control their bodies, demonstrate a million times a year that they are incapable of controlling their body.
I just spoke to my husband about this, who works for an NBC affiliate. The problem with this action is that the real offenders who made the decision are at NBC at Rockefeller Center in New York, which is where we want our protest noted. The local affiliates are owned by many different, small companies who have no affect on NBC decisions. Campaign against the folks we actually want to impact, in NY.

Ruth, hysteria suits you well. My "anti-woman" desire is for women to be protected by law even when they are most vulnerable. You protect people who slaughter them.
Your inability to cope with the statement that a million abortions are evidence that women can't control their bodies does not make me hateful. It makes you irrational.
TROLL "RUTH" is the same person as TROLL "Marylin" from two months ago.
DON'T FEED THE TROLLS, folks.

Marylin, you have once again proven yourself as juvenile as Tom/Jim/Lucy.
Honestly, folks, get some meaningful hobbies. For example, imagine if you just spent all this time you waste here, on helping women in need who want to avoid abortions.
You prove how shallow and hypocritical you are by playing games here instead of spending that time to make someone's life a little easier.
So much for being "pro-woman."
Well said Annie B! ^_^
