Mr. President, God Doesn't Condone Empty Words

"There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being. This much we know."

So saith President Barack Hussein Obama at his first White House National Prayer Breakfast earlier this month. Perhaps not since Mother Teresa took the Clinton's to her woodshed over abortion when she addressed the same gathering 15 years ago, had anybody made a statement on this issue so newsworthy.

Now why would saying there isn't any God who'd tolerate the taking of innocent life get so many people excited? Especially from no less than the President of the United States. It only stands to reason that the leader of the free world would make such a statement. Right?

If only reason and politics would really work together we would be living in more than an ideal world. The idyllic half of the equation only exists because we don't live in such a world. And it was no less than the same orator's official White House website that dumped the proverbial bucket of cold water on this flickering flame of hope. Well, maybe flickering was putting it too strongly given the very strong bias this new bunch running the government has brought to the White House concerning abortion. The Obama Administration isn't just "pro-choice," it's so pro-abortion as to lead any reasonable thinking person to wonder if this new crowd really believes in "choice."

In the Obamasphere we hear talk of "making abortions happen less frequently" than in the past. But this doesn't explain why they're so gung-ho on taking away all the restrictions. This is like saying "We're going to make gun-related murders more rare," all the while taking both the National Rifle Association's money and talking points at the same time. Just imagine if a Republican or even a moderately pro-gun-ownership Democrat were to hire the head of the National Rifle Association and put him or her in charge of the White House Communications Office. (That's just what Obama did with Ellen Moran, formerly head of Emily's List, notwithstanding all his pious sermonizing about the dangers of allowing lobbyists in government.)

If this isn't enough to churn the stomachs of even moderate pro-choicers, if the Freedom Of Choice Act is passed, abortion will be all but chiseled into the Supreme Court building across the Capitol. The word "choice" concerning this atrocity is a sick joke. Abortion won't be "merely codified" in the words of some NARAL spokes-human. It'll be a permanent sword of Damocles potentially hanging over every child conceived until the time he or she is born in a maternity ward or at home, etc. Notice I didn't say abortion mill. If a baby's fortunate to horrify the abortionist and survive "the procedure," somebody had better get that kid out of that building of harm's way PDQ and take him or her to the nearest hospital. Under FOCA, tough luck for that kid. It was taken there to be killed in the abortion business' view, and killed it will be.

It's a safer bet to count on the fact that God wouldn't condone this or the president's empty words when it comes to abortion.

I may not agree with President Obama on abortion but I respect him. He's a good man who is trying to lead our nation out of the worst crisis in generations, and he needs our support.

Barrak Obama is a great president, he has given equal pay to men and women, closed gitmo, and set up a new peace structure in the middle east. He inspires women everywhere. Even if his middle name is Hussein.

Obama does SEEM like a good man and he does SEEM to want to do the right thing but the Prayer Breakfast comment is a blantant contradiction of his views on abortion. Innocent life?? Who is more innocent then a child in the womb without a voice? I do beleive in support our president- but when he starts going agianst the Words of God you can not get in line with the president or anybody else. God beleives in taking care of the innocent and we should to.

What determines a good president? Obama could get our economy back on track, make sure that everybody had a job, and pass a great Stimulus Plan. But if he agrees to the murder of millions of innocent babies, that's okay? Well- he's doing some good things so we should look past this?

Please do not be deceived by a man who says he wants to do the right thing. Anybody can say that. And maybe he does.I don't know. I do know that human life is precious to God. And if you claim to follow God as Obama does then God's concerns should be yours too.

DON'T HARDEN YOUR HEARTS TO HUMAN LIFE!! It is wrong- that's all there is to it. And a good man does not support what is wrong!!!

George, & Jane Doe/Robert, I don't honestly know how one can "support" a President who is so against defending human life from the moment of conception, especially when it is the "inalianable Right to life", the first one in the Declaration, that he is most intent on dismantling for everyone in this country.

How can that be called the trait of a truly "good" man?

Without life, none of the rest of what he does or doesn't do even has a chance to make a difference.

Obama clearly doesn't represent me and millions more Americans (what was it, 46 million of us).

I find it ironic that many folks expect us to "support" Obama just because he's the President, when the vast majority of those folks RAILED AGAINST (umm, DIDN'T support) Bush when he was President.

Why must we do what they refused to do?

Here are a few informative places to start reading (the links within these posts, particularly) for those who are not fully aware of what Obama really stands for.

Barack Obama is not a good honest man. He was raised and groomed from his youth by communists, and a combination of Muslim, atheist and "black power" racist influence and ideas. His voting record is utterly left-wing. His position and voting to defend abortion has been a radical pro-abortion record. His life work and aim, including his years with ACORN, and his associations with various political/cultural radicals has been to gain power for himself and to impose his socialist/communist ideology on the United States.

I agree with you, Tracy. I think that Obama is probably doing the right thing on some issues, but that's not the point. Doing the right thing, or even creating a society that's better in some ways, isn't enough.

It's the foundation that's important. Would you want to live in a "good" society whose "goodness" depended on the slaughter of the unborn or the starvation of the sick? I would call such a society evil, not good, no matter how much improvement there was in some areas.
