If your car starts to break down, do you start it on fire so it will be no use to anybody?

If your house starts to fall in disarray, do you use a bulldozer and totally destroy it?

If your family member is diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, Lou Gehrig's disease, or terminal cancer, do you make the choice of killing them so they won't have to go through such an ordeal?

If you discover your spouse is having an affair, do you kill him or her, because of how your life will negatively change in the near future?

If your boss embezzles a huge sum from your place of employment that causes your office to close, do you kill the boss, because this will negatively impact your career?

Do you burn down the administration building at your college when they drop your field of study from the curriculum?

If you don't like your car or house, you can basically put them up for adoption, so to speak, by letting someone else have it. If you have problems with your marriage, work, or school, you find a way to get through the problem without physically harming another. After the initial shock of one of these life-changing events, most will attempt to make the best of an undesirable situation.

I spoke with Pastor Walter Hoye about his arrest and conviction for harrassment. He was accused of "harrassing women seeking services from the abortion clinic". This is another one of those cases where you won't believe what is happening in America. It seems as if we are getting closer to the Nazi state more and more every day.

You can read our article to get more information about this case, but before you do, listen to Pastor Hoye tell you what happened in his own words.

Finally, some good news coming out of the legal system in Kansas.

George Tiller will stand trial!

I don't know why Nadya Suleman opted for single, poverty-stricken motherhood on steroids, pun intended, undergoing the in vitro fertilization procedure several times to produce 14 children since 2001. The last eight were born Jan. 26....

But in one fell swoop Suleman has spotlighted problems with unregulated IVF and turned public opinion against unregulated IVF.

Now is the time for pro-lifers to introduce legislation in their states regulating IVF and with it regulating the creation and care of embryos.

There is perfect model language, introduced in the Georgia Senate last week, The Ethical Treatment of Human Embryos Act, SB169.

SB169 limits the number of embryos implanted to the same number fertilized, up to a maximum of 3, which will stop the practice of freezing human embryos and curtail selective reductions.

The bill defines ex utero embryos as human beings with inherent rights, so court disputes must be decided in the best interest of the embryo, not either parent fighting over the embryo.

SB169 goes much further, outlawing all forms of human cloning, creation of chimeras, etc. David Prentice of the Family Research Council has endorsed SB 169.

Importantly, the wording of SB169 attempts to take Catholic concerns about IVF into account. Crafters are hoping for the endorsement of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, even today....

How far will you go to end abortion and stand up for freedom of speech? Walter Hoye will go to jail and challenge the powers that be to save lives. Last week he was thrown in jail for what appear to be trumped up charges. This week he's continuing his stand at the abortion mill! We received the following release this morning:

My Dear Friends:

Today I am still free.

Tomorrow I may not be.

It's around 8:30 A.M. (PST) on Tuesday, February 24th, 2009 and the four (4) of us are standing on the corner of Webster Street and 3rd Street in Oakland, California near Jack London Square praying.

By Alan Thorne, Director, Created4Life

2009 marks the 41st anniversary of the British law change that allowed, in effect, the freedom of choice to kill unborn children.

"But you can't take away a woman's right to choose to have an abortion!" came a fiery protest from the front row of a class of 16-17 year old students. The young woman was obviously strongly opposed to my opinion and shouted out her objection. But I wanted to challenge her, gently, to find out why she believed this so passionately. So I made up an imaginary situation...

An artificial womb

I said, "Suppose a human egg is fertilised in a test-tube. Now when that happens today, in IVF fertility treatment, one of the many newly formed embryos is then placed into the womb of the mother. But imagine that the embryo is placed in an artificial womb, a machine rather than a woman.

"Who will decide then," I asked, "whether that baby will be released from the machine and allowed to live or if it will be killed? Whose choice would it be?"

There was silence for a moment. I presumed the students were weighing up if it should be the decision of the father, the mother or both. Then, to the great astonishment of everyone, the young lady in the front row angrily called out, "It's the machine's choice of course!"

Freedom to choose

I've found there is one thing that will get some people really annoyed: suggest taking away their freedom to choose. The idea, that we all have this so-called 'right to choose', is deeply fixed in people's thinking. It is such a deeply held belief, that it has caused many to be muddled in their decisions concerning right and wrong.

The classmates laughed at the reply given by the young lady in the front row. "It's the machine's choice!" really was a silly answer because machines don't make free moral decisions. But she applied the same reasoning to the imaginary situation as she had done in real life. I think her reasoning was this: if a baby is growing in a woman's womb, it is that woman's right to have an abortion; if a baby is growing in an artificial womb then it must be the machine's choice. It was the logical answer.

Since 1967, with the passing of the Abortion Act, pregnant women in Britain may ask for the termination of their pregnancy. Although two doctors must approve the decision, it has become widely regarded as a woman's right to choose. Abortion is therefore seen as an option to be chosen, if so desired by the mother.

Whose choice?

The sad irony of the hallowed 'freedom of choice' is that many women say that they 'had no choice' when it came to the decision to abort their babies. It was not something that they really wanted to do but there seemed no other way. Moreover, the baby in the womb has no say in the matter. I'm sure every pre-born baby, if he or she could communicate with us, would say, "Mummy and Daddy, I don't care what your circumstances are, please let me be born! I want to live!"

The 'freedom to choose abortion' is everywhere in our society and has been around a long time. That means there are many women who are struggling with crisis pregnancies and considering an abortion ... in your locality. Every three minutes, in Britain, the decision is made to abort a baby. These choices are being made in your neighbourhood and mine. Lives are being lost because no-one is willing to say anything. Where are the 'Good Samaritans' offering the right advice and the support needed to help in these crisis situations?

"Pro-life Pastor Walter Hoye was found guilty of violating "The Bubble Law," a city law that provides an 8-foot buffer zone between pro-life protesters and women entering the abortion clinics. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail and ordered to stay 100 yards away from the clinic where he was arrested for the next three years."

Nine Pro-Life warriors were recently arrested in Birmingham, Alabama. They were on a public sidewalk. I read somewhere that when they asked the officers why it was illegal to distribute Pro-Life material showing what abortion looks like on a public sidewalk, the officers said the sidewalk was only public for residents of Birmingham.

The police at first didn't return the video equipment, but with the release of this youtube video, it looks like they finally got it back!

The following is a message from Jack Ames - Director, Defend Life

I recently learned of the ILLEGAL ARREST OF 9 PRO-LIFERS in Birmingham, Alabama, described in this Life Site News article and recorded in this YouTube video.

Rev. Jeff White, the founder of Survivors, the pro-life group whose members were arrested, said of the arrests, "It is ironic that young people participating in a project [referring to the Birmingham Letter Project ] named after Dr. King's letter sit in the very jail he penned it from. Ironic and sad. ... Throughout their entire ordeal, these youths' first and foremost concern was to draw attention to the ultimate civil rights abuse - the murder of pre-born children."

On Thursday, February 12, 2009, nine members of nine members of Survivors were holding signs, dialoguing and distributing literature to students on a public sidewalk at Birmingham's Parker High School when police arrived and began to threaten the group with arrest unless they leave.

Informed by their attorney that their location on the public sidewalk and their free speech activity was legal, the participants in the Survivors Camus Life Tour continued their activities until police began arresting the members without explanation.

The Survivors members, who reported being treated with contempt both by police officers and jail guards, were held overnight in the Birmingham City Jail and released early the next morning. Upon release, they were given bond forms stating "Charge of Trespassing" with no penal code listed. It is uncertain whether they will press charges for these ILLEGAL ARRESTS, reminiscent of a SIMILAR INCIDENT in which 18 participants in an August 1, 2008 FACE THE TRUTH TOUR in Bel Air, Maryland were arrested.

I urge you to CALL or EMAIL the Mayor, his executive assistant, city councilman, and Governor Robert (Bob) Riley to protest this gross violation of First Amendment Rights.

Anti-life organizations incessantly portray pro-life and pro-family activists as radical, right-wing, woman-hating, clinic-bombing, Bible-thumping nuts.

Aside from simply being bitter, ignorant, domineering bullies, there is a reason why this false façade is being carefully crafted and propagated. See, the thing is, pro-aborts do not 'convert' people to be pro-abortion. They assimilate. They target kids who are still in school and inundate their world with false stereotypes of the angry anti-choice extremists and the big, brave, beautiful pro-choicers.

Do you realize the enormity of this? Think about it. The group that supports pedophilia, the Chinese forced-abortion program, child pornography and third-trimester partial-birth abortions for convenience have successfully labeled individuals who oppose child murder as the extremists! These are the same psychos who view little old ladies with rosary beads outside of abortion clinics as 'scary'.

It's laughable, but the youth of America fall for it.

The pro-abortion medical establishment in Madison, WI, encountered a problem last summer.

Their community's late-late-term abortionist, Dennis Christensen, announced he was retiring at year's end, and Planned Parenthood of WI would be taking over his mill.

In reality, according to e-mails obtained... Christensen wasn't retiring at all.

Christensen had some sort of contract to abort with PPWI, which shared space with him. The two simply hit a dead end resolving "issues and negotiations," according to an e-mail written by PPWI associate medical director Dr. Caryn Dutton to Dr. Laurel Rice, chair of ob/gyn at the University of WI medical school.

It appears Christensen wanted more money. Pro-lifers have spotted him entering abortion mills in Rockford, IL, and Milwaukee since "retiring."

But sans an association with late-late-term abortion aficionado Christensen, PPWI in Madison couldn't commit abortions past 18 weeks. And with Dutton solo at the helm, an extension to 24 weeks wasn't going to happen.

Why was Dutton e-mailing Rice? She was making a pitch for UW Madison Hospital and its affiliate Meriter Hospital to launch their own late-late-term abortion practice, with her as the lead teaching abortionist.

Bearing this in mind, Dutton's explanation to Rice as to why PPWI Madison couldn't expand services was remarkable....

Continue reading my column today, "Abortionists' dirty e-mails," at WorldNetDaily.com.

Also read an op ed in today's Milwaukee Journal Sentinel by Barbara Lyons, executive director of WI Right to Life. It dovetails with my column nicely, even pulling many of the same email quotes as I did, although Barb and I have never spoken with one another about the UW situation.

And an interesting aside: While researching this story I found that Teri Huyck of PP Chicago infamy is now the CEO of PPWI. She must have been promoted for her help with the Aurora scam, her prowess needed elsewhere.

Phoenix, AZ -Arizona Right to Life urges you to seize this opportunity to publicly demonstrate your outrage over the President's extreme anti-life positions, during his first Presidential visit to the Valley, this Wednesday, February 18, 2009. We strongly encourage you to assemble and display signs that decry his support of FOCA, his repeal of a ban on federal funding of abortions overseas, his selection of extreme pro-abortion cabinet members, his support of embryonic stem cell research and his categorical unwillingness to protect the most innocent of the human community, and to challenge him to a radical change of heart and mind.

Rarely do we have the opportunity to exercise our First Amendment Rights to speak freely and peacefully assemble, directly to the audience of the President, in our own community. We invite you to come together to impress upon him that Arizona stands for life, in an unignorable demonstration, unforgettably and overwhelmingly characterized by unwavering courage to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.

    And how.

TRA's blog's original subtitle was "An Atheistic Examination of the Culture of Belief: How Religious Devotion Trivializes American Law and Politics".

Though the URL to TRA's blog is still www.ravingatheist.com, the title is now:

    The Raving Theist
Dedicated to Jesus Christ, Now and Forever
That first link above, in the first sentence of this post, begins the explanation. I will excerpt some of his post at the bottom of this one.

My understanding is that he converted to Christianity (some reports say it's actually Catholicism) this past fall.

Did it all start with this post in 2004? "Annie Banno is my friend."

    Who knows.

Those who violently disagree with us might understand from that particular post why I do what I do.

The Wayback Machine has links to TRA's blog dating back to 2002, for those skeptical of the sheer enormity of this change.

Once TRA listed The Vatican as a "HATE SITE" (scroll down to the very end of this page), which he defined then as "one which explicitly attacks a person or group based upon race, gender, sexual orientation or creed."

    One Dove writes:

There's a campaign rolling across the Internet right now that involves anti-abortion activists sending red envelopes to President Obama in an effort to "change his heart." It's being called The Red Envelope Project.

I'm sure this is well intended, but I for one think it is a HUGE waste of much-needed money and time.

Wake up people! Red envelopes are not going to change Obama's heart. It's a nice thought and all, but if the war against abortion is ever going to be won, it won't be by mailing a boat-load of empty envelopes to someone like Barack Obama.

The campaign has good intentions but is it as strategically flawed as indicated above?  One might well consider where the Obama administration will file the unwanted correspondence ...

    February 13, 2009

    Dear Friends:

This afternoon a friend was praying about a number of things, and her mind began to wander. She was deeply distressed at the symbolic actions that President Obama took as he began his presidency. Namely, that he signed executive orders releasing funds to pay for abortions, permission to fund human stem cell research, and federal funding for contraception. She has been involved in the pro-life movement for nearly 20 years, and it pained her heart and so many of us to see a man and a political party committed to the shedding of innocent blood. This man, and this party lead our country, but they do not represent me or the 54% of Americans who believe that abortion is wrong and should no longer be legal.

As she was praying, she believed that God gave her an interesting idea. Out in the garage she had a box of red envelopes. Like the powerful image of the red LIFE tape, an empty red envelope will send a message to Barack Obama that there is moral outrage in this country over this issue. It will be quiet, but clear.

Here is what we all could do:

Get a red envelope. (You can buy them at Kinkos, or at party supply stores.)

On the front, address it to:

    President Barack Obama
    The White House
    1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
    Washington , D.C. 20500

On the back, write the following message.

This envelope represents one child who died in abortion. It is empty because that life was unable to offer anything to the world.

    Responsibility begins with conception.

Put it in the mail, and send it. Then forward this email to every one of your friends who you think would send one too. I wish we could send 50 million red envelopes, one for every child who died before having a a chance to live. Maybe it will change the heart of the president.

MEDIA ADVISORY, Feb. 11 /Christian Newswire/ -- This is Black History Month and the air is just beginning to settle on the fact that the United States of America finally has a black President.

The inauguration of the first African-American president fell in conjunction with Martin Luther King Day, and because of this, we were able to reflect upon the journey, the struggles and our achievements as Americans and most importantly as human beings.

It is truly difficult to fathom what must have been going through the minds of those from the Civil Rights era. They faced brutality and death and for a time it must have seemed that there was no light at the end of the tunnel in the quest for equality. Black people simply wanted to be known and treated as equals after being relegated to second class citizen status for literally hundreds of years.

I don't honestly know how one can "support" a President who is so against defending human life from the moment of conception, especially when it is the "inalienable Right to life", the first one in the Declaration, that he is most intent on dismantling for everyone in this country.

How can that be called the trait of a truly "good" man when he alienates that right for those who have been scientifically considered   human beings for a very long time?

Without life, none of the rest of what he does or doesn't do even has a chance to make a difference.

Obama clearly doesn't represent me and millions more Americans (what was it, 46 million of us).

And thus I find it ironic that many folks expect us to "support" Obama just because he's the President, when the vast majority, if not all, of those folks RAILED AGAINST (umm, DIDN'T support) Bush when he was President.

Isn't it interesting that they expect us to do what they refused to do?

UPDATE: I wrote this post BEFORE seeing this comic strip today.

(Get your daily Mallard Fillmore fix here)

Here are a few informative places to start reading (the links within these posts, particularly) for those who are not fully aware of what Obama really stands for, as evidenced by some of the comments on this blog.

    February 11, 2009
    By Judie Brown

In California, State Senator Sam Aanestad is investigating a "pilot project" involving the training of nurse midwives and physicians' assistants to perform "suction aspiration" abortions.

In a web site commentary about his discoveries, Aanestad said it apparently was begun in 2006 without legislative oversight and involves the state and several foundations contributing financially to the "pilot program" at Planned Parenthood abortion businesses in three cities.
A visit to Aanestad's web site provides access to his report on this gruesome matter, entitled "Abortion and Orwell." He writes,

Under the guise of "access to primary care," the Regents of the University of California have been conducting an experiment on women in Concord, Los Angeles and San Diego... The purpose of this experiment? "Demonstrate the role of advanced practice clinicians in expanding early pregnancy care." That's Orwellian for "training non-physicians to perform first trimester abortions."
In other words, these medical "professionals" are being trained to rip babies bodies apart and otherwise render them dead on arrival. In Florida, abortionist Pierre Renelique lost his medical license after it was determined that he failed to appear for a scheduled late-term abortion, leaving one of his staff to deliver a live 23-week-old baby girl. The baby was stuffed into a trash bag.

The Miami Herald, in recounting this tragedy, reports that the expectant mother

felt a sharp pain and noticed a live baby on the floor. ''She saw the baby moving about and the chest area moving slightly,'' the complaint reads. One of the owners of the clinic came into the room, cut the baby's umbilical cord and placed the baby and its remains in a plastic bag in the trash can. Staff members at the clinic -- none of whom was licensed -- never called 911 or a neonatologist after the delivery.
When atrocities like this occur, as they do more than 3,000 times a day in America, one has to wonder if most Americans ever think about what it means to abort a child, what it looks like, what the aftermath is for mothers, fathers and the extended family. The obvious challenge is to awaken the dead consciences of our fellow Americans. One of the ways of doing this is displaying pictures of aborted children, the remains of human beings whose bodies have been mutilated by abortion.

There is an ongoing debate about whether or not the pro-life movement should employ the use of graphic images. These are images used by the Center for Bioethical Reform,  which carries out educational campaigns not only in the USA, but also in Canada and elsewhere. CBR's best-known project is the "abortion truth truck," which places the horror of what abortion does to a child before your eyes, whether you like it or not. In fact, when you visit its web site, the first thing you see is a warning that in six seconds, a graphic video is going to begin. So if you aren't "into" such depictions, at least you can quickly move off of the home page.

But if one of those trucks is driving down the highway, the drivers who pass have no choice but to see the horror. This has been a point of immense controversy among pro-lifers for quite some time. Leaders are divided about whether such tactics are prudent. The point of such debates is not whether or not to use the pictures, but how to use them.

In fact, there are similar projects that are not in your face. The Face the Truth campaign gives the driver ample warning in time to turn and go another way. Face the Truth is conducted by Pro-Life Action League, and is one that I have participated in before.

There are many other ways to use these appalling images, and as one pro-life commentator wrote,

As to the question of effectiveness, history tells us that graphic photographs of injustice have a unique capacity to change popular opinion. On a smaller scale, but in the same vein, education campaigns about smoking, drunk driving, and sexually transmitted diseases all use graphic visuals as a deterrent against certain behaviors. Cancer eaten lungs, torn and bloody bodies, and herpes ridden genitalia are all highly unpleasant images, but they are far more effective at preventing smoking, drunk driving and teenage sex than words alone. We are a visual culture, we learn by seeing.

In 2003, two years after President George Bush reinstated the Mexico City Policy (referred to by abortion proponents as the "global gag rule"), which denies U.S. funds to international groups that commit or promote abortion, the BBC reported the following:

Hundreds of women's health organisations in the poorest nations of the world - places where maternal mortality and infant death are high - faced a tough choice. Either sign the gag rule and be silenced on abortion, or refuse and lose millions of dollars in US aid.

Most refused to sign. As a result, thousands of family planning clinics across the developing world have closed their doors, making access to vital contraceptives hard to come by.

In reality, only five of 457 organizations declined U.S. Agency for International Development family planning assistance in protest over the Mexico City Policy in 2001.

    They were...

WARNING: GRAPHIC DESCRIPTIONS IN THE MOTHER'S OWN WORDS. IF YOU ARE STILL GREATLY SUFFERING THE AFTERMATH OF YOUR ABORTION I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO READ THIS ARTICLE. PLEASE.

MIAMI | On the morning of July 20, 2006, Sycloria Williams, age 18, went for an abortion - a late-term abortion that she says went terribly wrong.

Now 21, the Hollywood resident has filed a civil lawsuit accusing the clinic staff of delivering her child alive and killing the newborn girl by stuffing her into a biohazard bag.

Williams spoke exclusively to the Florida Catholic Jan. 28. She said she is sharing her experience of what happened inside A GYN. of Hialeah Inc. because people "need to know."

What happened in this case is precisely what our new President voted to protect and keep happening, when he was Senator.

Thank you for speaking up for people like me. Yes I was conceived when 8 men raped my mom. Her comment when I finally met her 3 yrs ago(at 48yrs old) was "I couldn't kill a kitten or a puppy, how could I kill an innocent baby?" She knew it wasn't my fault. She is my hero! And now responsible for 4 other humans living- my 2 sons, my grandson and now one other on the way! People shouldn't play God in that they determine who lives and who dies. Having forgiven those men my mother was able to live her life freely. There are many other "rape" stories but because the children are small these stories don't come out. Mothers want to protect themselves and their children. Or because of the stigma involved people fear rejection. I am secure in who I am. God chose a horrible situation to show how powerful He is to change things.I personally know one girl raped by her father and gave birth to a beautiful boy. She is actively involved in his life and the adopted parents are secure enough to agree. Now that's real life and freedom. (yes her father is in jail) I hope people rethink their thinking about life! Thank you for commenting, Juda. I'm going to add your site to our blogrolls at AfterAbortion.blogspot.com and AbortionPundit.blogspot.com.

Juda wrote this to us in the combox of this post, in which another woman, "birthmom", a rape victim herself who kept her child, spoke up.

If anyone wants to tell us their story--of either not choosing abortion after rape, OR of being regretful that you did--BUT ANONYMOUSLY, you could email me, Annie B., and we would only publish what you wanted published, without names, or with changed names and other identifying details changed or omitted to protect your identity. OR we won't publish a thing, sometimes you just need to get it off your chest and tell someone even anonymously in an email with no names. We have a long track record of receiving and respecting such requests. [TO EMAIL ME, go to this page, then link to my main AfterAbortion blog, and the email is encrypted at the top right of AfterAbortion's sidebar.]

Sometimes it helps just to be heard, even if anonymously.

And any political, opinion-oriented, or inappropriate or snarky or remotely offbase comments to these "personal-story" posts will be deleted and the commenters banned immediately. If you do not have SOLELY a kind or compassionate word for such women who speak up against abortion after rape, you don't belong here and you certainly will not get a public forum here. Deal with it.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO ADDRESS ANY WOMEN WHO WERE RAPED WHO CHOSE ABORTION INSTEAD:

"There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being. This much we know."

So saith President Barack Hussein Obama at his first White House National Prayer Breakfast earlier this month. Perhaps not since Mother Teresa took the Clinton's to her woodshed over abortion when she addressed the same gathering 15 years ago, had anybody made a statement on this issue so newsworthy.

Now why would saying there isn't any God who'd tolerate the taking of innocent life get so many people excited? Especially from no less than the President of the United States. It only stands to reason that the leader of the free world would make such a statement. Right?

If only reason and politics would really work together we would be living in more than an ideal world. The idyllic half of the equation only exists because we don't live in such a world. And it was no less than the same orator's official White House website that dumped the proverbial bucket of cold water on this flickering flame of hope. Well, maybe flickering was putting it too strongly given the very strong bias this new bunch running the government has brought to the White House concerning abortion. The Obama Administration isn't just "pro-choice," it's so pro-abortion as to lead any reasonable thinking person to wonder if this new crowd really believes in "choice."

While it really isn't surprising that President Obama would be working his way toward some sort of politically motivated abortion program, it is quite interesting that he has chosen to use his new White House Office on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships as the vehicle. The irony of this relationship, however, might escape some people. I cannot see how a relationship can actually exist between people's supposed belief in God, their apparent willingness to overlook what abortion does to children and negotiating ways to supposedly reduce the death count rather than eliminate it. I must be missing something.

I find it interesting that when the president discussed this proposed White House office prior to his election, he never mentioned that one of the office's activities would be exploring ways to reduce abortion. In fact, in one particular address, he told his audience

You know, faith based groups like East Side Community Ministry carry a particular meaning for me. Because in a way, they're what led me into public service. It was a Catholic group called The Campaign for Human Development that helped fund the work I did many years ago in Chicago to help lift up neighborhoods that were devastated by the closure of a local steel plant.

Imagine it! A Catholic group funded the work of a man who has now taken the position that he not only supports abortion unequivocally, but also believes it should be available without hindrance. This is precisely why he supports things like the Prevention First Act.

In that same speech, Obama outlined his plan to have the organizations and church groups that do understand the intricacies of working within the parameters of a federal grant teach those that don't, and once again, he mentioned a Catholic organization - this time, Catholic Charities.

Somehow, he appears to enjoy the idea of co-opting Catholic identity by aligning the word Catholic with his less-than-wholesome positions on matters like aborting little children. In case anyone thinks this reference to Catholic organizations is accidental, think again!

The most frightening part of that speech, though, was this line:

Every house of worship that wants to run an effective program and that's willing to abide by our constitution - from the largest mega-churches and synagogues to the smallest store-front churches and mosques - can and will have access to the information and support they need to run that program.

As a constitutional lawyer, the president knows that there are a wide variety of interpretations regarding the actual meaning of "separation of church and state." He also knows that those who favor abortion have argued for three decades or more that opposition to abortion is a religious belief and the government must not pander to pro-lifers for that reason

Her food and water were withdrawn for the purpose of bringing about death.  To put it coldly, she was "euthanized".

    LifeSiteNews reports:

Eluana Englaro, Italy's "Terri Schiavo," has died only four days after doctors began a "gradual" reduction in her food and water intake with the intent to cause her death.

Bobby Schindler responded to the tragedy:

The family of Terri Schindler Schiavo wishes to express their grief for Eluana, her family, and all of Italy on this very sad day.

Pope John Paul II said that, "we must save ourselves from sinking into a 'culture of death.'"

"Sadly, Eluana's death again reminds us of the pope's words. Withholding her food and water - her most basic care - so that she would die, is really about us and how we are going to care for those who need our love and compassion to live", said Bobby' Schindler, Terri Schiavo's brother.

The Schindler family urges everyone to keep Eluana's entire family in their prayers in the wake of this tragedy.

amp_071011_reproductive-justice-banner_large.pngActually, there is no problem with Nadya Suleman's octuplets, they are beautiful gifts from God who need our prayers. There is something very wrong with Nadya and the fertility industry that certainly did not consider the babies well-being. There is something even more wrong with the society that allowed this to happen.

In case you haven't heard about Nadya, she is a single southern California woman with six children at home who just underwent in vitro fertilization and gave birth to octuplets. So, now she is a single mother of 14 children.

So what is wrong with this situation? We all know in our gut that something isn't right here. Is it all Nadya? Well, in her favor she did not selectively kill any of the eight babies growing inside her. She had made that bed and was going to lie in it. Her mother said she was "obsessed with children." When someone is obsessed with anything, it may seem like they want the best for the object of their obsession, but really they just want the object, regardless of the consequences. Clearly, Nadya let her obsession get the best of her, but she didn't get pregnant with octuplets on her own.

Enter the fertility industry. So what part of this situation falls on their shoulders? Doctors should know better than to implant that many embryos into a single woman who already has 6 children. But then again, they should know not to make human embryos in a dish to being with. This case has brought to light how unregulated the fertility industry is. Which reminds me of this great verbal gem:

"A woman gets more regulatory oversight when she gets a tattoo than when she gets IVF." --Brooks Keel, M.D., University of Kansas School of Medicine
And why is the fertility industry so unregulated? Good old political correctness. Far be it from anyone to tell Nadya that creating multiple offspring in a dish and implanting them all is not such a good idea. Listen to the doctors from this article:

But Dr. Jeffrey Steinberg, who has fertility clinics in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York, countered: "Who am I to say that six is the limit? There are people who like to have big families."

"I am not a policeman for reproduction in the United States. My role is to educate patients," said Dr. James Grifo, professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the New York University School of Medicine.

In the context of this case, these quotes seem callous. But apply them to regular reproduction, (you know the old-fashioned way), and they are right. I do not want to have some doctor telling me that my husband and I can only have a certain number of children. It seems so me more and more it is the "artificialness" of the reproduction that is the real problem here.

I have said repeatedly that Roe Vs. Wade created these very slippery rights called "reproductive rights" that started with not having a baby if you didn't want one, even if that meant riping a living fetus from your womb and has mushroomed into having as many babies as you want, anyway you want 'em. Even if you are too old or do not have anyone to make them with. In either case, "reproductive rights" has allowed the wants of the parents to trump any rights or needs of the resulting children.

This Prolifeblogs combox discussion brought up the subject of abortion in cases of rape, when a brave woman spoke up:

We are so under represented in the media because it is corrupt and a brainwashing thing when put in the places it is...but we might have to fight back with brutal honesty to show up the lies.

I was raped, suppressed it and a growing belly for 7 months, had a baby girl, and placed her for adoption. If you hear anyone use the stupid line again, "well what if you were raped, then why should you have to carry to term a baby?" Pleas refer them to me! I'm sick of them persuading people on stuff they don't even bother asking a real woman that has been through it about! Pro-lifers are tough in general, Pro-choice people are wimps (sorry, but it is true. I bet if we did a survey they would be the ones that cried as a kid if they didn;'t get picked something)

...Why do they assume automatically women can't handle it? Two wrongs dont make a right. I am so mad at the abortion industry, I cant explain it. Its just that they would made it so easy for me to walk in the door and kill my daughter that first day I found out I was pregnant (without telling my parents or anyone first) luckily I didn't thanks to God taking over. My opinion on everything changed full over after just a few days of letting the fact that this is a little life, sink in. But they made it so easy for me to kill my daughter, and since she means the world to me today, this grudge isn't going to ever go away until they are destroyed (the companies like planned parenthood...not the people destroyed)

She isn't the first victim of rape, nor in the minority of them, feeling this way.

In replying to help readers know what we've long known from doing our own digging (instead of relying on the mainstream media), we had linked to this original post by friend and fellow blogger Rachael written in 2005, along with our blog's discussion about this very topic that ensued. In it we discuss this phenomenon of how women feel after being raped, some choosing abortion, some feeling duped into choosing it, others not choosing it.

In that AfterAbortion combox, we heard from "Susan G" about her rape experience, and from Julie who wrote that

"my mother was a rape victim at the age of thirteen. Twenty years later, when she sought an abortion for an unwanted pregnancy, she screamed throughout the procedure and had to be held down by nurses. She didn't have to say she was reliving her rape; she looked it during the retelling."
Those who support abortion in the case of rape never probably ever gave that a thought.

But some surveys have found that many women do relive their rape experience during an abortion.

Imagine most of our society telling women they should HAVE to relive that experience by getting an abortion? Imagine the pressure??

Unless one has been raped, I don't think any of us can ever imagine what it's like to think about how similarly vulnerable the abortion experience is to that, even if it is supposedly a conscious choice. It's still physically vulnerable. The only way I survived my abortion was to deaden myself for over 20 years, starting with the exact moment I was up on that table spreading my legs for the male abortionist when I really, truly, didn't want to be there but believed I had no other choice, and I really, truly, didn't even think it was happening to me.

So, after redigging through all my prior research and all those horrific memories, images and feelings, I also decided to post this firsthand account which, I was surprised to realize, I'd never posted before. It is from a day in the life of one sidewalk "compassionate counselor," namely me, almost six years ago.]
    February 7, 2009

Several reasons are given when someone is promoting abortion: It doesn't look like a baby. It's a blob of tissue. It will be born in poverty. It's disabled. It's unwanted. It will be a crack baby. It will interfere with school or work. The mother is too young. It's in the mother's body, so she can do what she wants with it.

When the issue is being discussed with an abortion proponent, a simple rebuttal can be made for most of their arguments. They should be asked if they are for the killing of a baby outside the womb because it's born in poverty, unwanted, addicted to drugs, etc. Of course, they will say that is different, because the baby is already born. Obviously, they just answered the main pro-life argument for not aborting the baby.

The only difference in those two examples is the location of the baby, and that's it. A born person doesn't change it's nature just by going from one room to another. Astronauts can be thousands of miles in space, but they are still the same people that they were on earth. An unborn doesn't all of a sudden becomes some other entity once it is delivered. Then how is it that an unborn baby is perceived to be so different from a born baby that it should be allowed to be killed. The pro-lifer, of course, believes that location of this person is a non-factor, except for rare health concerns. An example of this is an ectopic pregnancy, where the location of the unborn would eventually kill the mother and itself if left alone.

It's the first Friday of the month and it's time to call for LIFE!

Thank you for all you do for the unborn. Without us speaking out for them, they would die in silence. In the end, our representatives, through our prodding, will do the right thing and end abortion.

I would like to ask everyone to do one more thing for the unborn this month. Please contact at least 2 people who might do just a little bit more to help the unborn and encourage them to join us in the Monthly Call for Life. It's only once a month, and it's so easy! Go to monthlycallforlife.com for everything you need to say and do.

Even the AP writer seemss shocked by this Born Alive Story:

Eighteen and pregnant, Sycloria Williams went to an abortion clinic outside Miami and paid $1,200 for Dr. Pierre Jean-Jacque Renelique to terminate her 23-week pregnancy.

Three days later, she sat in a reclining chair, medicated to dilate her cervix and otherwise get her ready for the procedure.

Only Renelique didn't arrive in time. According to Williams and the FL Department of Health, she went into labor and delivered a live baby girl.

What Williams and the Health Department say happened next has shocked people on both sides of the abortion debate: One of the clinic's owners, who has no medical license, cut the infant's umbilical cord. Williams says the woman placed the baby in a plastic biohazard bag and threw it out.

We're glad justice is being pursued in this case.  Wesley Smith represents my sentiments concerning the current President and his opposition to defending children who are born alive:

While in the Illinois Legislature, our president said that a proposed state law to protect the lives of such babies was unconstitutional and unnecessary, even referring to babies that survive abortions as "a previable child or fetus, however you want to describe it."If this story is true, she was a born infant--and she was murdered. President Obama should be asked for a comment. Moreover, he should be asked about the Freedom of Choice Act, that would eliminate the Federal Infant Born Alive Protection Act and similar state laws--like the one in Illinois that passed despite his "present" vote--designed to protect babies such as this.

It is incredible how the press and Obama supporters justified his support of infanticide and now (thankfully) are outraged by this case.

Abortion is typically a selfish act performed to erase a mistake. Exceptions exist, but they are relatively rare.

Society and government will never ambitiously pursue real solutions to the need for abortion as long as the "crutch" of easy-access abortion exists. Due to the underlying motivation of abortion, people will not easily be swayed to abandon the practice, nor will they desire to surrender willingly abortion as an option when nothing equally appealing exists. If the widespread practice of legal abortion is to be stopped sooner rather than later, it must be stopped legally, through the courts, just as it was begun. Only once the crutch has been taken away will a real incentive for improvement and progress exist, and only then will the underlying motives for abortion be exposed to the light of day and receive proper attention.

In the decision of Roe v. Wade and subsequently Doe v. Bolton, rights were allowed in absence of responsibilities. The Supreme Court, through its ignorance, laxity, or both, gave women, and those who might assist them, the right to terminate what the court admitted may be a human life, absent of responsibility for their actions.

For 36 years, this has been allowed to continue, reducing all pursuant debates over abortion and all of its related issues to time-consuming, non-productive, meaningless conversations and arguments.

The responsibility for this situation originated with the Supreme Court, but ultimately came to rest on anyone and everyone who has ever been exposed to and reached an understanding of the issue.

    February 5, 2009

Right on cue, as pro-aborts nationwide were wetting themselves in excitement over being the 'majority' during the 36th anniversary of fetal death on demand, a national Gallup poll revealed that not only are a strong majority of Americans pro-life, but they are none too happy with President Barack Obama overturning the Mexico City Policy. The policy, which was first introduced by President Ronald Reagan in 1984, prevented funding of non-governmental organizations that promote or perform abortions overseas.

So, in addition to reinstating 'change' that Americans were not 'hoping' for, Obama broke a major campaign promise to those of us who don't accept the skull crushing cruelty of abortion by promoting policies that provably increase the number of abortions worldwide. I don't know about you, but my idea of 'reducing abortions' wouldn't include throwing exorbitant amounts of tax-payers' money at this dangerous, murderous elective procedure.

Gallup respondents stated that overturning the Mexico City Policy engendered more opposition than any of Obama's presidential actions thus far, producing the lowest level of support from both Democrats and Republicans. The poll revealed that 58 percent of Americans oppose Obama's pro-abortion decision while just 35 percent support it and 7 percent have no opinion.

It's very important to keep in mind that the majority of those who support the decision are under the false impression propagated by pro-abort media that overturning the policy 'does not directly fund abortions'. Look up any mainstream summary of the decision and you will find the sugar coating of this death pill with drivel such as CNN's disclaimer that, 'Overturning the Mexico City Policy does not fund abortions. Instead what is happening now is that U.S. money can go to groups that support health clinics where abortion is among their services.'

What this means in choice-speak is that Spineless Baby Killer One can get their bloody hands on U.S. taxpayer dollars and hand it over to Spineless Baby Killer Two, who does the actual dirty work. Sort of like when clinic workers convince themselves that they aren't murderers because they only handed the catheter over, they weren't the ones actually suctioning the infants' brains out through a tube.

Abortion proponents, by nature, are self-deceiving. If any human being can look at a 4D sonogram, read the basics of elementary school biology, see pictures of fetal development or view the end result of an abortion procedure - and yet still convince themselves that abortion isn't ending a human life - then you know you are dealing with a group that is either mentally deficient or living in a fictional world of denial.

With increasing volume I've been trying to make the pro-life community understand that aborting babies alive and letting them die or outright killing them is a commonplace - rampant - occurrence in U.S. hospitals and abortion mills despite the 2002 passage of the federal Born Alive Infants Protection Act.

That we get this fact is imperative with the election of Barack Obama as president alongside a Congress now fully controlled by the abortion industry.

Obama is key. As most know, he took tremendous heat during his 2008 campaign for adamantly opposing Born Alive as IL state senator and was forced to protest loudly that, of course, he opposed infanticide of abortion survivors. Rest assured pro-abort congressional members were watching, glad it wasn't them on the hot seat. The pro-life community must now make Obama and a Senate and House that both voted overwhelmingly for Born Alive prove it.

How do we know post-abortion infanticide is widespread? The procedure resulting in live births - induced labor abortion - is now the late-term abortion procedure of choice. Read that last sentence again....

Many of you know that NBC refused to air and incredibly positive pro-life commercial during the Super Bowl. The ad, promoted by Catholicvote.org can be seen on Youtube.

    So what to do?

Here is a modest suggestion. Call the local NBC affiliate and politely tell them that you will no longer be watching any NBC programming. Tell them that you are going to pass the word to everyone you know. Then explain that if the local affiliate will pick up the ad and run it for a week or two during the NBC Nightly News, you will consider that the local folks should not suffer for what the Corporate heads did.

Then follow up with an email to the NBC folks in New York and tell them how bigoted and prejudiced they are against African Americans who face terrible odds just to be born.

Remind them that if they are afraid to show the truth, they are not worth watching.

Then call a few advertisers and tell them that you a re no longer going to watch NBC.

Will it take a little effort? Yes.

And the reason that the effort will be worth it, is because you are speaking out in defense of life.

ACTION: Send your complaints about the rejection of the ad to Victoria Morgan, Vice President, Advertising Standards, NBC Universal, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, 1825 E. New York, NY 10112. Call (212) 664-4267 or fax (212) 664-6366 or email victoria.morgan@nbc.com

Here is a little slap in the face for the Obama administration. Over 65% of Americans according to a recent Gallop Poll do not approve of Obama's pro-abortion policies having to do with rescinding the Mexico City Policy and sending American taxpayer dollars overseas to fund pro-abortion extremist groups such as Planned Parenthood.

Too bad that the American people did not pay attention to the pro-life movement when it was trying to tell everyone that the country was about to elect the most radically pro-abortion president in history.

Equally sad that the Republican nominee failed to listen to pro-life advice about making the life and marriage issues a more important part of his campaign.

But then that is what happens when candidates listen to Washington lobby types who have no clue as to what resonates with the American people. Obama could "sound" reasonable on these values issues, even as he was articulating some radical agenda items. The people heard what they wanted to hear.

And then there were the so-called pro-life apologists for Obama, as well as some priests, ministers and others who misrepresented his radical pro-abortion views.

As a result more African American children will die.

    More Latino children will die.

And the U.S. will be exporting the culture of death to countries who need help not destruction.

News of yet another Planned Paranthood child rape cover up via LifeNews.com:

After two videos depicting Indiana-based Planned Parenthood abortion center staff covering up potential cases of statutory rape, a new video has a Planned Parenthood in Tucson, Arizona doing the same thing. New hidden-camera footage implicates a third abortion facility in covering up a case of sexual abuse.

The new video also features UCLA student Lila Rose, who has become an undercover investigator of sorts by going to abortion centers and posing as an underage girl who has had sexual relations with a much older man.

Former Senator Tom Daschle is pathetic. Nominated by Obama to be the Secretary of Health and Human Services, it was disclosed just days before his expected confirmation that he owed the government over $128,0000 in back taxes. Now lets put aside his pro-abortion politics. Ignore the lobby laden fortune his wife made while he was a sitting senator. At a time when the government is broke and cannot manage its own affairs, do we need someone who cannot handle his own situation and pay his taxes when due. As the fellow who voted on all these tax increases over all these years, the least he could do was pay his share. Nor is this some simple oversight. Anyone one of us could give a pass to some simple accounting errors. But given the important post of secretary of HHS, the person should have a clean unblemished record.

What makes it even more sad is the whining that Daschle has done in the media.

Every senator should vote to reject this nomination.

"UW Hospital, its doctor group, (UW Medical Foundation) and Meriter Hospital are proposing to open an abortion clinic at their jointly owned Madison Surgery Center...the clinic which could open next month at 1 South Park Street would primarily offer second-trimester abortions."  Wisconsin State Journal

Here's more on the University of Wisconsin Hospital Authority Board's vote on second-trimester abortions from National Right to Life:

Pro-Lifers Rally in Wisconsin as Critical Vote Approaches
    By Dave Andrusko

In two days the University of Wisconsin Hospital Authority Board will vote on Madison Surgery Center's highly controversial request to perform second-trimester abortions. The rationale offered for extending the age limits to abort older babies (between 13 and 22 weeks) is the retirement of Dennis Christensen, who provided second-trimester abortions at Madison's Planned Parenthood.

A coalition of pro-life groups rallied at Liberty Mall on Saturday, bringing with them boxes of petitions signed by more than 20,000 people. The petitions were subsequently delivered to Meriter Hospital.

The Madison Surgery Center is jointly managed by the University of Wisconsin (UW) Hospital and Clinics, Meriter Hospital, and the UW Medical Foundation. All are part of the system called UW Health.

According to the Badger Herald newspaper, the center "is governed by the UW Hospitals and Clinics Authority Board, which is composed of members from each of the hospitals along with seven representatives from UW." It is this governing body that is "in charge of, among other things, setting the hospital's policies."

Board Chair David Walsh told the newspaper, "The staff there is proposing they take over some of the responsibilities that were previously held by Planned Parenthood." He added, "I envision that a presentation will be made by those recommending it, and we'll discuss it and make the decision that day."

Last month, Barbara Lyons, executive director of Wisconsin Right to Life, told Today's News & Views that if the proposal goes through, "This would mean that you could go to the center for arthroscopic knee surgery, and maybe in the next room they'd be dismembering an unborn baby." In addition, she said, " the fees you pay for the surgery would in fact be subsidizing abortions, since the funds will be commingled."

Over the weekend Lyons told the Badger Herald, "Abortions are always a health concern for the mother, and there are mental health concerns for everyone that goes to that surgery center. It's a bad mix."

The consensus appears to be that the vote is very close.

Wisconsin has a number of excellent pro-life organizations, all of whom could use some support in fighting this action.  Click here to take action.

P.S.  For the record I want to state that first and second trimester abortions are equally heinous given their purposeful destruction of an unborn baby.

As his first act in office Barack Obama has lived up to his promise of a "new transparency."It is transparent that he does not regard the lives of unborn children either in the U.S. or abroad.

Barack Obama will finish his term of office in only four years if he is re-elected he will have four more years. No child born here in the U.S. or abroad will reach voting age before he finishes his term of office. Those aborted will never so much as hear who is running for office. The pro-choice voters of America male or female can vote now and since the repeal of Bush's ban that constituency has been well played, prepped and pandered to for Obama's second term.

We don't need to ask the pro-choice crowd what they think of Obama's first act as President and we can't ask the aborted babies. If we could reach out to some place where their voices could be heard what would they say?

On the question of Rod Blagojevich being ousted as Governor of Illinois for allegedly trying to sell Obama's vacant senate seat I'm sure they could care less. We actually might hear some of them say "whatever the price the seat was going for it is still cheaper than the price we have already paid" They might even say it's too bad the seat wasn't for sale a long time ago to someone who was pro-life.

As for President Bush they may say they are thankful for the ban he provided so no U.S. taxpayers had to foot the bill for their murders. They might also ask him why he hadn't noticed that in his search for weapons of mass destruction he didn't look a little closer to home. Roe v. Wade is the single greatest weapon of mass destruction to come along since the creation of atomic weapons. It has resulted in almost fifty times more loss of life than laid on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in WW II. They might add that "these are American lives not the lives of our enemies" as if we didn't know that.

They might ask Barack Obama that since he stated in the Saddleback Forums that the "question of when life begins" was "above his pay grade," now that he gets $250,000 per year as President, is that now enough pay to decide that life does 'not' begin at conception," which is exactly what he has done.

Can the deceased or aborted of one generation actually rise up and witness or testify against those of another generation? Let's see.

When the religious leaders thought to demand a sign from Jesus to prove his claims he rebuked them by saying, "The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. The men of Nineveh shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here." (Lk 11: 31, 32)

It may be above Barack Obama's pay grade to answer the question of when human life actually begins but is not above his pay grade to answer when it should end. All that is left is the question of whether it is above his pay grade to answer if those aborted humans may one day "rise up" as Jesus said and condemn his actions. I don't know for sure if that will happen but I would not want to be the one who is gambling that it won't.

Suffice it to say that more people have died at the hands of abortionists than all the lives Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot or Adolph Hitler took prior to modernity's liberal slaughtering of the unborn. Under the auspices of modern mans narcissistic proclamation of science enlightenment and advances they yet choose to hide behind the incongruous and cowardly thin veil of "I don't know when life actually begins."

This is my answer and my pay grade is zero. I get nothing for writing these articles and I am still overpaid because I have the pleasure of believing that my voice in some small way is the voice of the unborn children of this generation. My answer is; life begins at the beginning. Every second thereafter it is a new life, a human being, already living and developing and crying out for only what we already have; a chance for "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

The last time I mustered the nerve to view an actual abortion video what I saw was mangled body parts and what seemed like rivers of blood. While I could not say for sure just what the voices of destroyed infants are saying I am sure that what I saw was real human blood. Innocent blood!

I am also sure that one of the most recurring and heavily emphasized teachings of the Bible is that God is always angry about the shedding of innocent blood. In an impassioned appeal to King Zedekiah the prophet Jeremiah warned the King of Judah by saying, "Hear the word of the Lord, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates: Thus saith the Lord; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place." (Jer 22: 2, 3)

I have never doubted that America is no different in Gods eyes than any ancient civilization and there will be a reckoning in our future. Socialism, immorality and unbridled love of material things are the very least of the reasons we will soon encounter judgments. The actions of doctors and nurse practitioners tucked away in silently run houses of death in rural and suburban spots around the country are not unseen by God, the cries of the innocent may not be heard by the busy throngs just outside but their blood calls to God night and day.

Roe v. Wade is a pretense for scientifically endorsed, politically and judicially backed genocide. Coupled with newly rescinded presidential orders and sweeping legislative proposals to extend abortions worldwide and at anytime during a pregnancy, now it is defiant mockery to the warnings of God. The fact that we have slid by without too much intervention is proof of only two things. One is the enduring patience of God, the other is the surety and closer proximity of an impending judgment that we will have indeed brought on ourselves.

As reported by LifeNews, University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics, faculty doctors and Meriter Hospital are behind a proposal to build a second-trimester abortion center that will do abortions at Madison Surgery Center.

Missionaries to the Preborn asks for pro-lifers to take action:

A PUBLIC HEARING will be held this Wednesday, February 4th, at 2:00 p.m. by the UW Hospital and Clinics Board in the UW Medical Foundation Administration Building located at 7974 UW Health Court in Middleton, Wisconsin.

Take action today to help protect preborn babies from a brutal death!

Abortion is murder, and the preborn have a God-given right to life.

The UW Hospital Board will be voting on this decision this coming week. Please take action in 4 easy ways to help ensure that abortion services are NOT accessible at the Madison Surgery Center and to show that the community supports this decision:

    1. Email the UW Hospital Board asking them to NOT allow second trimester abortions at the Madison Surgery Center.

    2. Call the UW Hospital Board at 608-890-9220 and leave a message expressing your appreciation for their leadership and to ask them "to vote against the unjust killing of the helpless preborn."

    3. Write a letter to the editor to the Wisconsin State Journal, The Capital Times, or your local newspaper to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves - the helpless preborn in Madison!

    4. Tell 5 friends and ask them to email, call, and write a letter to the editor as well.

Attend the Public Hearing & show your support
