Questions - will any of the major news networks send a Washington reporter a few blocks down to the March for Life? Despite a crowd of over 200,000, my expectations are low given the history of underreporting this event has received.

Yeah right, probably more like a crowd of 200.
My daughter is there. She has sent me photos. There are more than 200,00 protesters participating. This event continues to grow and the press refuses too cover it. Shame on them. They seem to find videos of an elephant befriending a dog or a celebrities latest fling far more newsworthy.
My kids and I attended the rally and Mass at the Verizon center. There was a capacity crowd (for "reality" that means 30,000) and they were turning people away. We couldn't stay for the March, but it looked awesome!!
My daughter is there with a contingent from Detroit area. Five buses packed with representation of a small number of the masses signed for the march from just 2 HS and 3 churches.
She and their group were turned away from Verizon, where they had reservations, and 2 other masses before they sat on the floor of the fourth mass.
"reality", there's a check for you...OK?
PS She is 17 , a member of NHS. Last summer she was invited to a program of national youth leaders to immerse herself in various specialties in the field of medicine( she already attends daylong technology immersions in various fields of emerging medical technology at a leading hospital near our home- how she "blows" her weekends). She spent a month living the life of doctors at various teaching and military hospitals in the Chicago area. The live autopsy, videocast to all the concurring seminars around the country proved to be the most memorable learning experience
She is happy to have kept her connection to God and our parish, and serves as technology minister at our parish, St. Andrew, Rochester MI. A diocesan-trained peer leader, for organization of teen action group events- most of which are volunteer activities for Grace Center, Habitat for Humanity,..... She is the most requested babysitter in our area, because she plays, reads, and is responsible for all in her care( not just a tv watcher or cell phone addict)
She is also a ballerina, having performed with the Kirov Ballet and other in other ballets as a member of the Michigan Ballet Theatre. She is a coveted member of her school's varsity dance team, compete's for national dance championships for solo and team events on behalf of two instructors- both nationally recognized dancers.
Tired of this??? Me, too! She wears me out with the magnitude of her
life. I was searching for video of an under-reported march, when your disgusting sarcasm prompted me to advise you of your error. I provided the bio, so perhaps , you might be persuaded to believe my daughter- who called immediately after being turned away from Verizon- and again after mass at church #4.
I'm tired of the 22 hours of reporting on the conspiracy over the flubbing of the oath, re-oath, re-visiting the legality of every blah, blah, blah! Worse than having no real live news in this country- despite Fox' boasting. [It's people] like YOU, who fail to believe anyone who doesn't agree with you or your agenda. So much for the hope for change.
[edited by co-blogger]
I was there yesterday - and the lack of press was so noticable and the march was packed - usually finished by 3 but not until after 420 this year because there were so many....Even from Europe as well as around the US -
THe small bit of press I did see - found the 10 or so pro choicers camped out in from of the Supreme court and the press was all over them - - lined up like vultures ----do we still accept and believe their bias???? THe Marh was full of good -hopeful- energy - we know that doesn't make good news reporting - We have to PRAY!!
Where you there?????
This is probably something we need to work on. We should try to attract as much media as possible to this event to show people ho great it is. By the way EWTN had great coverage on this event!
i think a president, male or female should have to put on the mask and robe and be required to attend 3 abortions as part of their being president, before swearing them in. the total lack of news coverage at the d.c. rally is why we need to stop buying the products they [the news] advertise. where's walter cronkite when we need him? the last true newsman.
jim s, an excellent idea about making them observe 3 abortions. I'd like them to attend a Rachel's Vineyard retreat as a fly on the wall too somehow. Too bad none of it will ever happen.
As for the last true newsman, I'd have to say Tim Russert was in that class and more recent than WC, but it's a great point.
