President Barack Obama released an official statement concerning abortion and the anniversary of Roe v. Wade:
On the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we are reminded that this decision not only protects women's health and reproductive freedom, but stands for a broader principle: that government should not intrude on our most private family matters. I remain committed to protecting a woman's right to choose.Typical. Obama adopts the propaganda of pro-abortion radicals, suggesting that child killing in the womb must be protected because it is a "health issue" and one related to "freedom". He remains consistent in his denial that an unborn (and newly born) baby has rights and deserves protection from a cruel and untimely demise. While this is a sensitive and often divisive issue, no matter what our views, we are united in our determination to prevent unintended pregnancies, reduce the need for abortion, and support women and families in the choices they make. To accomplish these goals, we must work to find common ground to expand access to affordable contraception, accurate health information, and preventative services.
On this anniversary, we must also recommit ourselves more broadly to ensuring that our daughters have the same rights and opportunities as our sons: the chance to attain a world-class education; to have fulfilling careers in any industry; to be treated fairly and paid equally for their work; and to have no limits on their dreams. That is what I want for women everywhere.
While Obama appeals to unity through affordable contraception, we would prefer him to invoke the God-given sanctity of human life and our call to respect and defend the living, including the unborn.
For the remainder of this horrible anniversary, let's consider the 50,000,000 babies who were unjustly murdered and prayerfully seek a change in the beliefs of our President and an end to this holocaust.

So our sons have the right to terminate a pregnancy before it becomes a birth?
Excellent catch, there, oneblankspace. Except that that's the euphemism, "terminating a pregnancy."
Think about it folks. If one is pregnant, there is a baby forming. Why else do people buy expectant mother books when they're glad to be pregnant?
"Terminating a life" is the scientific, factually correct term, as painful as it is for me to admit, having made this awful mistake myself and now living the rest of my life regretting it.
....
For those who still think Obama is NOT pro-abortion, do you really want to know the truth? (reposted from another combox in case our various pro-choice and pro-abortion [I do think that for a select few, there is a difference, however slight or misinformed] readers didn't check in to that other box)
If so, check out these accounts:
Obama's people removing pro-life protesters, violating their rights to free speech
Obama's religious-spinmeister duped you all
Obama's church is the mostly pro-choice, pro-Planned Parenthood United Church of Christ. This is from their website [NOTE: the webpages that had the following quote have been removed between 2005 and 2007 when I and many other bloggers started writing about it. They're still documented extensively. Go ahead and google the first half of the following]
"The United Church of Christ has affirmed and re-affirmed since 1971 that access to safe and legal abortion is consistent with a woman's right to follow the dictates of her own faith and beliefs in determining when and if she should have children..."
Christ would not have approved. Christ told us to watch out what we did to the least of His brothers and sisters and ours, that whatever we did to them, we were doing to HIM. Who else but the unborn children are the least of our brothers and sisters??
You'll find the UCC's--and Obama's--belief discussed also in this commentary.
And of course this first one I did, TWO FULL YEARS AGO, about Obama's perfect pro-abortion voting record, as scored by NRLC:
Obama got a perfect ZERO on these bills for the 109th Congress - U.S. Senate, for his votes on 4 key "life" issues:
1 - Funding of overseas pro-abortion organizations
2 - Funding of embryo-killing stem cell research (H.R. 810)
3 - Child Custody Protection Act (S. 403): passage
4 - Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act (CIANA) (S. 403, as amended).
Go DYOR, folks. You who think he's not pro-abortion have all been royally duped.
