Barack Obama promised the Planned Parenthood Action Fund that the first thing he will do as President was sign the radical "Freedom of Choice Act" (FOCA) into law. If passed, FOCA will eliminate every limitation on abortion nationwide.
Americans United for Life writes that thousands of people have already signed a petition that will be sent to congress upon the re-introduction of FOCA. If you haven't yet done so, please visit www.FightFOCA.com now and add your name to the growing list of people making their voice heard.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the abortion lobby may have gained a POTUS beyond their wildest dreams, and a large majority in Congress, but not a filibusterproof majority, correct?
Then what we need is one brave congresscritter -- preferably a Democratic woman -- to filibuster. I'd suggest by just standing their and reading aloud from "Lime 5".

For those of you who REALLY care about life and the unborn:
1st figure out why the unwanted pregnancies,
2nd figure out how to prevent them BEFORE an abortion is needed.
Since 50% of abortions are done for those under 25, and over 80% are for those unmarried, I think we have an education problem! Some 17% are done for teens!
Obama didn't cause abortions, Bush didn't stop them, 5 of the voters for R v W were Republican appointees, they didn't even need the 2 Dems, as 5 carries.
So quit with the easy which is trying to blame someone else, this is a neocon game and a trap you're in. Try solving the problem of abortions by finding the cause which is pregnancy, then finding the reason for pregnancy when neither the man or woman wants to raise a baby, and work from there. Education, contraception, abstinence (good luck there), counseling for couples in trouble as many women have abortions when a relationship is failing.
Talk to your congressperson about what you do and don't want in the bill (they ignore a lot of petitions). Work with the administration, not against it to get what you want. But beware, this will mean putting your money where your mouth is so to speak, it means you have to really look at the issue and try to solve it--no getting off with just trying to blame someone else. We had 1.21 million abortions a year with Bush as President-- where were you?

Also, it's not hard to understand what "conquering Satan" means. Satan influences all evil, and killing babies is evil. Simple, clear.
I do agree with you about preventing the situations where abortion is performed, but just because we've failed in that doesn't mean we can punish a baby for it by KILLING it. Also, what are we telling the teenager who gets the abortion without parental consent? Where's the responsibility and accountability? Oh, wait, that's too much for her poor soul. So let's let her continue making wrong decisions without consequence or learning. With all that the liberal agenda has done over the recent years, the rising generation receiving all the presents from their "progress" is giving them an "entitled" attitude towards government and society. Responsibility is going out the window.
Why would you bring in all these other issues? This, as I can see, is a discussion about FOCA, not Iraq the economy. There IS a connection with healthcare, however. Have you or anyone you know ever been treated in a Catholic hospital? Most likely. Well, they will all close when FOCA is passed. Not sold, closed. The Catholic church does not want these facilities used for killing babies, as well they shouldn't. What do you think will happen to the cost and availability of healthcare in this country then?

FOCA is so WRONG! I mean, abortion is already down right wrong, their just gonna make things worse. How can you force catholic hospitals to abort when it is against our belifs and ethics? How can you let an under age teenager to decide the death of an unborn baby without parental concent? I mean, how can they suddenly think teens can make life and death decisions while they don't let us make others. Life and Death is a serious matter that shouldn't be taken lightly!!! I thought in America we had freedom of religion.
As a mom I'm scared about my 14 year old daughter. If FOCA passes, what if her teacher or soccer coach comes onto her and she get sexually abused. And what if they force them to get an abortion all behind my back? Things will be worse for little girls because the abuser could get away with anything. Who knows what could happen.
While I don't like abortion one bit I like the loss of freedom of speech/press even less. The American Life League is using this instance to boost their name into the headlines by attacking companies and individuals who have no stance on the matter. They're grasping for straws and bullying others. Anyone should be able to use the phrase "Freedom of choice" any way they choose, even it's in the context of abortion, without worrying that the psychotic members of ALL will come making a fuss.

Even before I was a Christian and long before I was pro-life I knew perfectly well that pro-lifers and Christians in general are the most reliable carers for people of every age, race, height, eye color and other demographic traits. I was on the street more than once. It takes mere hours or no time at all to find the warmth, the free, clean clothes, the hot meals, the love, the shelter -- usually in a church, and almost every single volunteer a pro-lifer. That's why we pro-life Christians run, at our own expense and personal risk, shelters for battered women and children, food pantries and free dining halls, daycares and pregnancy support centers, adoption agencies and drug rehabs, and all kinds of other helping agencies for the poor, for struggling new moms, and for everyone in a hard spot.
