Barack Obama's campaign has seemingly gained momentum, support and a frenzied rock-star-like following without the concrete substance one would expect from a presidential candidate. It's more than just an anti-Bush phenomenon that has propelled this relatively inexperienced senator to astronomical political proportions.
There is a cult-like atmosphere around Barack Obama, which his campaign has carefully and successfully fabricated, which concerns me. The messiah complex. Fainting audience members at rallies. Special Obama flags and an Obama presidential seal. A graphic with the portrayal of the globe and Obama's name on it, which adorns everything from Obama's plane to his street literature. Young school children singing songs praising Obama. Teenagers wearing camouflage outfits and marching in military order chanting Obama's name and the professions he is going to open to them. An Obama world tour, culminating in a speech in Berlin where Obama proclaims we are all citizens of the world. I dare say, this is ominous stuff.Even the media are drawn to the allure that is Obama. Yes, the media are liberal. Even so, it is obvious that this election is different. The media are open and brazen in their attempts to influence the outcome of this election. I've never seen anything like it.
What is it, exactly, that draws the crowds to Obama and gives him the seemingly larger than life persona? Why do his supporters accept contradictory statements and ignore his radical history? Levin aptly explains the the basis for Obama's campain is "class warfare and human envy."
I suggest that Obama symbolizes what many Americans truly desire - a savior. Rather than seeking justification, hope and satisfaction through the person and work of Jesus Christ, our society increasingly looks to the government to solve all problems, create a hopeful future and declare righteous those acts that are known to bring condemnation. Obama is the incarnation of the messianic state who through radical change based upon bold humanistic ideologies promises an age of comfort and world-peace.
It is time to wake-up and smell the coffee. Returning to Mark Levin:
Unlike past Democrat presidential candidates, Obama is a hardened ideologue. He's not interested in playing around the edges. He seeks "fundamental change," i.e., to remake society.
Obama's rejection of the God-given intrinsic dignity of human life is itself a rejection of God and reveals a horribly distorted view of justice that provides a basis for any number evils.

Obama and his team work hard to keep it cult-like. For example, Obama's official site has now a section that explictly targets kids age 12 and under, urging them to ask their parents and grandparents to vote for him. The same age group is protected by regulations even when it comes to marketing of products like candies and cereal.

Excellent post, excellent summary by Levin.
This is assuming that the version of christianity that the roman patriarchal head church has handed down to be rewritten and recounted for 1000's of years is the one and only way. Jesus is pretty pissed off at that. Count on it. Whether Obama is the best or the worst, it is a safe Vegas bet that he can't possibly do more harm than W. What a bad name for TX that the baby bush has made. Not right.
Wake up indeed.
Jesus did get angry on occasion, but it was primarily toward the hypocrites and the unbelievers. If anyone will be wrathful, I believe it will be His Father! You know the one who created the heavens and the earth, parted the sea, and destroyed the earth! Jesus is our Mediator to the one and Only Living God! Vengence belongs to Him! We as Christian need to know that Christ came to fulfill the Law, not to abolish it! Work out your salvation with fear and trembling! He is the way. the truth, and the life. Jesus said "Unless you eat of my body and drink of my blood , there is no life in you."
Politic's will be man's exercise to a better life but life begins from the Creator and is lived through the Redeemer! Instead of so much emphasis being placed on the constitution, which was founded on Faith in God's Laws, we would prosper once again, if we would remember the First Commmandment, You shall have no other God's", instead of the First Ammendment.
