Steve Ertelt writes,
With the intense focus on the extreme pro-abortion positions of Barack Obama, there has been little reference during the weeks leading up to the presidential elections of John McCain's pro-life record on abortion. McCain isn't as outspoken as past presidential candidates, but his record speaks volumes.
Good point. Too bad we've been far too busy vetting out the life of Joe the Plumber and GOP funding for Sarah Palin's wardrobe to worry about the stark difference between John McCain's support for the sanctity of human life and Barack Obama's disregard for it.

If the shoe fits wear it. Republicans squander money for clothes and everyone on the right says "cool" no prob.
What's "extreme" about a pro-choice position? Isn't this a free country or does the evangelical lunatic fringe want to take that away too. BTW, there is no such thing as "pro-life". They aren't "pro" anything. That's just an absurd euphemism for being "anti-abortion".
Eden, first off, the Republicans are not squandering money because all clothes purchased for Palin will be donated to charity. Ever wonder why they had to buy Palin clothes to begin with? Ever wonder why the DNC did not have to buy clothes for Obama or Biden? Second, are you sure you want to be slinging mud about Republicans supposedly squandering money when Democratic leaders were the highest recipients of lobbyist donations from Fannie Mae? (Obama was second-highest already, even with his short tenure in the Senate.)
Ragmop, your revisionist history is interesting. The "evangelical lunatic fringe" you refer to is simply trying to restore a morality and decency that were previously considered self-evident (see Declaration of Independence) but have since been eradicated by extra-constitutional rulings such as Roe v. Wade, Doe v. Bolton, PP v. Casey, etc.
As far as semantics go, I could just as easily say that you are not "pro-choice" since the only choice you support is the one resulting in a dead baby. Conversely, those who are "pro-life" truly are proponents of human life in all stages and in all forms, from conception to natural death.
This election is so distracted and focused on stupid stuff like Palin's clothes and McCain smoking in his POW video, because of the MSM! The MSM is full of liberal left wing illuminati and they have so much power and influence over the public, McCain is doomed...the MSM refuses to report on the news if it doesn't benefit Obama's camp, therefore keeping this election from being fair to busy Americans who turn on the tv at night to "catch up" and aren't getting a realistic account of the news!
If anyone in this election has an "extreme view" on abortion its Palin... She doesn't even allow for instances of rape or incest: that's extreme.
I am religiously pro-life and Pro-Obama...
Extreme? Palin's position is consistent with a belief in the sanctity of human life and the Biblical view of human dignity.
