Eduardo Verastegui, star of the movie Bella speaks for the unborn in the following video from Durarealidad.com. You will see the beauty & incredible miracle of life, and in real-time, what the destruction of a person in the womb looks like.

FOOTNOTE FROM CO-BLOGGER ANNIE B: SERIOUSLY STRONG WARNING: MANY GRAPHIC IMAGES AND VIDEO CLIPS OF THE RESULTS OF ABORTIONS ARE IN THIS VIDEO. IF YOU ARE POST-ABORTIVE AND REGRETTING YOUR ABORTION, PLEASE DO NOT WATCH THIS. I COULD NOT. IT IS TOO SHOCKING, TOO NAUSEATING, EVEN FOR ME. We who are post-abortive and regretting it are hard enough on ourselves, this video while 100% truthful, is unnecessary for those of us who already know all too well what we have done and who are harder on ourselves than anyone or thing will ever be. Ever. This video could undo any amount of forgiveness or healing we have already begun to seek and receive, from God, from others, from ourselves.

My daughter noted that though it's irrelevant, people are more likely to listen to him because he's hot. Then she quoted Mrs. Bennett in "Pride and Prejudice" -- "I know you could not be so beautiful for nothing!"

Great video...but I also think that Eduardo is extremely gorgeous....and I am a happily married woman and mother of 6...JUST AN OBSERVATION....he is an excellent spokesperson and advocate for life. I would think that any woman would change their minds in a second if he asked them to keep their babies...

I heard in one case even the nurses of the clinic came out to meet him and he was able to talk to them as well..

Deanna

I so applaud this video and all of Eduardo's efforts to protect life. I just wish some of our celebrities would stand up for life.

Great job, Eduardo.

Te agradezco por todo lo que haces, Eduardo. Me da gusto ver tu coraje.

Que Dios te bendiga y que te vaya bien.

I don't think this should have been posted a second time on this blog in three days, and as a post-abortive woman who now regrets my abortion, I really don't think women who are post-abortive and feeling bad about their abortions should watch this video so I will repeat what I commented at the other posting:

The only thing I could think of when watching what I could stomach of this video was,

If we as a society of so-called human beings get Obama as President, we surely deserve Obama as surely as we would deserve hell.

SERIOUSLY STRONG WARNING: MANY AWFUL GRAPHIC IMAGES AND VIDEO CLIPS OF THE RESULTS OF ABORTIONS ARE IN THIS VIDEO. IF YOU ARE POST-ABORTIVE AND REGRETTING YOUR ABORTION, PLEASE DO NOT WATCH THIS. I COULD NOT. IT IS TOO SHOCKING, TOO NAUSEATING, EVEN FOR ME. Perhaps just listening to what Eduardo has to say is enough.

I swear, if any pro-choice person could stomach watching this, they would never support abortion again. But 99.99999% of them won't watch it.

Obama surely never would watch it.

Annie, they'd watch it, then insist it's all fake. Or they'd watch it and forget anything but "A right-to-lifer upset me."

Annie B., I can understand why you wouldn't want to see this video.

Can I ask you what made you regret your decision? An important part of the pro-life movement is fostering a culture of life and I think it is really, REALLY important to know how we can best change young women's minds before they have an abortion. If we are unsuccessful, we must still show them God's love and get them on the road to healing.

I am also post abortive. I aborted as a teen ager and now have 6 kids (4 adopted two from birth). I can't answer for Annie but i can say that young women need to understand what true empowerment is and that abortion is not only the taking of a true human life but also a truly destructive act to the woman as well. PP lies to women making them think that that abortion is the equivalent to getting a tooth pulled. Also, PP halts any information of support regarding pregnancy crisis centers ( I was told the Pregnancy center would hold me captive if I even walked into one) and women really are terrified and feel they have no other choice...for a movement to say they are prochoice...they certainly don't show women the other options such as reaching out to a center that can guide the woman into motherhood..I could go on...but I will leave that to my blog....also, churches are way too quiet. AND many protestant denominations like the Evangelical Lutherans, Methodists, Pres, Episcop are all pro choice...so they contribute by teaching people that God actually is okay with abortion...it is terrible...pro life churches need to be way more vocal and pro choice churches should evaluate why they hold that position..

Annie B,

We in the pro-life movement know how hard it is to find healing after an abortion. We always keep post-abortive women in our prayers and are always grateful when they join with us to fight for life.

People need to know the truth, they need to see it themselves. We are fighting for the unborn and have to show what abortion is. Unfortunately exposing the truth may cause post-abortive women ill or worse. But we have to show people what abortion really is, it's the only way to save children.

Mr. Verastegui is using his celebrity in the Latin community to expose abortion and Obama's views on it. When people search for him, they'll find the video. He's reaching a wider audience and isn't just preaching to the choir.

Abortion is disturbing and it should bother all of us tremendously. It turns my stomach, makes me cry, and rips my heart out and I haven't had an abortion. We are all sickened and outraged by it and we need post-abortive women to herald the truth to others so that they may be spared all the pain and suffering that you have endured, and that their child might live.

Thank you so much for your courage and fortitude. We need more like you to stand up with us.

I appreciate the warning for those about to view the Eduardo
video. I've wanted to share it with friends and family but
I had to turn it off and I've been in the movement for 20 years.

He is a superb spokes person for the babies!!

Seems like I read there is a version without the beyond graphic
shots but I'm not sure where to find it.

DDTKW, oh, it would take more space than I have here to speak of how I came to regret my abortion. I guess I've kept a pretty low profile here, but some PLB readers know that I'm one of the 2 longtime co-bloggers at the After Abortion blog. Best start to answering your q is to read this.

My story is something I've been writing about online for almost the past 6 years. This link has parts of it in columns I wrote for CatholicExchange.com .

The shortest telling of my story is here, and answers how I could go from seemingly supportive of abortion to being so against it.

In this post, I speak of the angry "pro-life" man who called me a "murderer" when I ran into the abortion clinic and who is still out there today calling women that, and how I tried, unsuccessfully, to silence him.

It took 10 years for my grief to start surfacing, but even then, I’d stuff it back down. It took a full 22 years for it to break through my denial completely. Now, every day, I live with the sorrow of that "choice" that I can never undo.

Deanna, Courtney and les for life, thank you for writing, for your compassion and your honesty. I've written numerous articles exposing the lies of Planned Parenthood and others, and I too agree that everyone, women included, needs to see the truth that is in this video, for the tide to turn against the hideousness that abortion is.

I only differ with you slightly: on the TIMING of when post-abortive women should see it.

The first time I saw the gory pictures, it wasn't until after I'd gone on my Rachel's Vineyard retreat and had really begun speaking and writing about my regret and withstanding the intense and vicious attacks (see the next link). I had started healing and had been strengthened by helping others avoid or heal from abortion, and yet, I almost threw up and broke down.

If I hadn't gone on Rachel's Vineyard before seeing those pictures, I'd have had a mental breakdown or committed suicide, as many young women have done even without seeing the photos.

That was the first time I’d seen photos showing what abortion really did and that the "products of abortion" were real human babies. When the angry prolife man had tried to show me those pictures 29 years ago, I had refused to look at them, so it wouldn’t get to me. Afterward, I got so good at blocking out all thought of what I was doing, it lasted for 22 years.

In this post, I explain further why I am ambivalent about the gory pictures.

DDTKW, how best to reach women's minds to avoid abortion is to reach their hearts. As I wrote, "If someone had shown me they cared about me or offered to pray with or help me, I don’t think I would have done what I did. But no one did, then."

Even though there are a few angry old men shouting "murderer" still, they are a passing generation and will soon be gone. That one who screamed at me has to be in his 80s now at least. I don't wish ill on anyone, even one so condemning and judgmental as he, but the difference is now seen in the hundreds of crisis pregnancy centers who do deliver concrete help to women every day to avoid abortions. It's in the hundreds of thousands of volunteers at those CPCs.

Lastly, though no one has asked the question, it's worth while to bring this up:

How many women regret our abortions?

There are two studies published in the Canadian Medical Journal and in the British Medical Journal which both found that there is a 60% concealment rate when female subjects are being studied for effects of abortion. That means that only 40% of women in the studies either reported having had abortions or were correctly classified as having had one or more abortions.

As a result of this concealment rate, the following link describes another survey that when taken together with the concealment rate, shows that there could be a half million post-abortive American women who now regret our abortions.

Imagine this large a group as a voting bloc.
