From a reader:
I do recall Barack Obama's audacious statement which asserted he would not want his daughters "punished with baby" if they "made a mistake". The position is repugnant and deserves greater scrutiny.

I know plenty of women who have children and lived their whole lives impoverished because they could not afford to take of their children. The children's whole lives were ruined.
Barack Obama is wealthy - pregnancy would not ruin his daughter's life.... not chance. In general, does poverty (by US standards) ruin one's life or is it something else? Are you suggesting those who are "poor" shouldn't have kids? What's enough money to take care of kids? Why kill the child when families are waiting to adopt?
How can poverty be such a glaring problem? The poor in most countries have the highest birth rate. I think the big problem is about inconveniance. Most abortions are due to a lack of morals. I realize that this will be a hard thing to correct but if we don't God may take a hand in the solution. I hope that we can start loving one another instead of using one another. Please pray for a peacfull solution.
