it's a way of life that honors and accepts the unexpected surprises
God bless and keep this lovely family
Thank you, God for giving us a TRUE pro-life candidate - one who doesn't see babies as punishments and one who is clearly attuned to your will.
For all the Obamas' talk of being just plain folks, this real life family puts every political family I've ever seen to shame.
Now help us to do our part - to follow the Palins' example of acceptance and love and to get to work securing true pro-life leadership for our country.
The choice could not be more clear - a presidential candidate who regards babies as punishment and who would allow babies outside the womb to die if that is the mother's desire - vs. a ticket representing adoption (McCain), acceptance of Down syndrome, and affirmation of the right to life even at a time when a baby would be inconvenient or embarrassing.
What a wonderful world this could be!

What worries me most about McCain/Palin ticket is their environmental policy (especially regarding drilling in the ANWR). I think it is evermore important for us, as consumers to support 'green businesses' that benefit the environment. [snip]
Atleast she won't have to worry about going to college now.
How individuals respond to challenging situations tell a lot about their moral character. The Palin's have a long road ahead but are beginning it on the right track. What will make it difficult for them is having to walk under public scrutiny which includes those who will exploit the situation for political purposes and use it as another opportunity to mock Christians.
Sadly how fast some people forget their basic principles.
here is the daughter of somebody who claims to be a moral leader of the highest order
and she commits the ultimate sin, and suddenly teenage fornification is
an admirable and desireable activity.
How about some straigt talk, she is clearly a slut,
and her parents have failed in the most basic task,
to insure their childrens purity.
Stop the execuses.
Fornication is OK if you're conservative.
Fornication as the "ultimate sin"? I'd rate murder a lot worse.
Why is childbirth painfull?
To punish the woman for her sin of having fornicated.
The Lord clearly states so in the garden of eden.
pain and labor are part of God's judgment on sinners (Genesis 3:15-16).
To the woman he said,
"I will make your pains in childbearing very severe;
with pain you will give birth to children.
Christianity teaches us that abstinence,
even in marriage, is the way to salvation.
A woman has to groan in labor to
atone for her sin of marital sex.
When chloroform was discovered by Sir James Simpson
in the early 19th century for use in cases of difficult childbirth,
the church clearly condemned it.
This was a blasphemous attempt
to rebel against the curse that God had laid
upon Eve. Queen Victoria in the late
19th century was criticized heavily
for having used anesthesia, for having gone
against the dictates of the Christian teachings
"Christianity teaches us that abstinence even in marriage, is the way to salvation." - all Christians, by definition, believe this statement to be completely false and without merit. In fact, TD's entire comment is to be considered as such.
