Ann Dunham Soetoro was born November 29, 1942. Barack Obama was born on August 4, 1961.
Typical human gestation (from conception to labor) is approximately 280 days. The Encyclopedia of Childhood and Adolescence states that "The human gestation period--the period of time between conception and labor--is approximately forty weeks (280 days), measured from the first day of the mother's last menstrual period."
From October 29, 1960, to and including August 4, 1961, it is 280 days from the start date to the end date, end date included or 9 months, 7 days.
Obama's mother, then, conceived him on or around October 29, 1960, when she was 17 years old:
From November 29, 1942 to and including Saturday, October 29, 1960, is 17 years, 11 months, 1 day.She also married Obama's father "on February 2, 1961 in Maui, Hawaii, after discovering she was pregnant."
The level of hypocrisy among pro-"choice" liberals just rose another notch.

Was Obama's mother and father legally married? It has been reported that Obama Sr. had a wife and multiple children in Kenya. Thus his marriage in the Hawaii would not be legal. I am tired of the liberal media making Bristol a political issue, when this is a personal issue for Governor Palin.
Ummm, dear dear Christ-ian gossipers - if you check - palin married her high school sweet heart...and OOOPS! 7 months later had baby number one. shame on you, you gossiping old crows. PS - out rage over the lip stick comment? FUNNY, Mccain made the same comment about Hillary, and you stood to applaud. Palin says lip stick on a DOG and you all get giddy, get over your selves, you hypocrites. Jesus would have no part of you were he here today.
Ummm, dear dear un-Christian gossiper - if you check - McCain didn't make the same [lipstick on pig] comment about Hillary but rather about her universal healthcare plans. See it for yourself on YouTube in not one but two speeches: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMHlIfOTS1c&feature=iv and
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMPYkNQlJMM .
It was indeed many of you on the liberal side (just google this string "lipstick on pig mccain hillary -obama") who are deadset convinced that McCain called Hillary herself "a pig with lipstick". The liberals got all incensed thinking this when McCain said, though they were totally wrong. Now those on the right are getting all incensed, though they are wrong too, and yet the liberals attack back for the same misguided outrage?? Come on! Perhaps the liberal "gossiping old crows" ought to calm down a little first and set a good example for us conservative "gossiping old crows."
It's ironic that you come here, with full sneers and insults ("gossiping old crows", "shame on you"), yet you claim emphatically that "Jesus would have no part of you were he here today." One has to wonder why you think He'd condone your words, attitudes and beliefs.
(further, I didn't even write about the lipstick quote in my post!)
And you missed the point entirely about who conceieved which babies when, so let me rephrase it: have all the upset liberals also insulted Barack Obama's mother's and grandmother's intelligence and parenting skills? Since Obama's mother also conceived him when she was 17, and also married his father soon after discovering she was pregnant, all the many attacking, pro-"choice" liberals must paint Obama and his family with the same insulting brush they have painted the Palins with, or their biased double standards wholly discredit them.
It's highly ironic that all those dismissing Sarah Palin's ability to (co-)run the country because they say she's "not smart enough to teach her daughter safe sex" would instead be supportive of Bristol at least if she were deciding on an abortion instead. Note how no pro-"choice" folks rail against a mother's failure to teach safe sex or "control her own teenage daughter's sexual habits" when the teen chooses abortion.
The real tragedy is this societal pressure to abort, as if abortion "fixes it" and makes it as though nothing ever happened. Something does happen: the girl (or woman) becomes a mother (even Roe v. Wade calls the unborn fetus "the property of the mother.")
Bristol Palin's keeping her child is courageous, for two reasons. It is harder in today's world to raise the child instead of have the abortion due to that societal pressure to abort, and further she has to withstand attacks from those who have now proven that "choice" really is just a euphemism for "abortion." Like you, monicatannehill.
It's no wonder most women who regret their abortions remain silent, rather than endure the abuse from so-called "feminists", who only like you if you support abortion.
It always amazes that when there is a conflict of opinion about abortion, those who comment in favor of abortion will nearly always use negative words such as "gossiping old crows" or some other such negative put down. What comes to mind is the quote "Though doest protest too much". In order for "monicatannehill" to make a point against "Annie B.'s" opinion or someone else's opinion, she had to revert to name calling or some other type of denigrating snide name because there was no merit to her comments, therefore her only reason for commenting was to tear down anothers character. I am glad that God gave us names that cannot be taken away, and that He loves everyone no matter their opinion on a subject.
yep, that's typical christian right wing - seldom right, rarely christian - can't tell the difference between righteous and self righteous. Oh, wait - it's all in the bumper sticker. First of all, i am pro life, second of all - Obama was talking about McCain's calling his policy "change" from the bush admin's policy, lip stick on a pig. and you passive aggressive old crows, I stand by my assessment of you. And, for the record, dems are tired of the press focusing on palin, too. lets get back to the REAL ISSUE. Oh, yea, and I guess none of you sweeet lil TRUTH SEEKERS spread around" he's a muslim" "He's the antichrist" "he won't show his birth certificate" ....never verifying...just spreading lies..like Jesus wants you to.
You apparently didn't even READ all my reply.
It would appear you are not really pro-life but one of those trolls who often come to sites like this and "say" they are pro-life but then act foolishly and hideously, as you're doing, to make others think that pro-life people are really as intolerant and abusive as you continue to be. You can play this part if you want, but we don't buy it.
I know exactly what Obama was talking about when he made the comment, and that was my point, but you still refuse to see that McCain ALSO was talking about Hillary's policy not Hillary, yet the whole liberal "intelligentsia" still believes frothily that McCain called Hillary a pig FIRST. Crack #1 in your alleged persona.
For the record, since you attacked me with this: I didn't spread around "he's a muslim" or "the antichrist" and in fact have countered some who have. I guess when you are being judgmental and self-righteous, it's perfectly ok. Crack # 2.
Interesting that you go to the mat (alone, I might add) to defend Obama by smearing anyone who doesn't support or agree with him, yet you call yourself "Pro-life." Crack #3 in your description of yourself, of as many cracks in it as you write sentences...
Your mind is closed, nothing I say or do will change that, or anyone for that matter. Go on believing what the mainstream media tells you is "truth." I wish you luck with that, but trolling and being antagonistic isn't tolerated in any of MY posts.
To any truly pro-life folks still even reading this thread: Let's not feed the trolls any longer.
Barak Obama, himself, is the best argument against choice. How many young women , today, in his mother's predicament would chose life? If she had had a choice, he might not even be alive.
