Babies Saved from Abortion

40 Days for Life gives the following report for Day 6:

Thus far, local 40 Days for Life coordinators have reported 48 babies saved from abortion! And reports are still coming in. It's awesome!

Karen in Oklahoma City tells of a young woman who approached sidewalk counselors outside the clinic. "They could tell she was conflicted and open to their words," she said.

This young woman was the victim of sexual assault. "She was afraid of carrying a child she did not really want," said Karen, "but she was also afraid that she might fall in love with her baby if she chose life."

After the counselors described the free resources available, she asked if she could choose an adoptive family for her baby. The answer was a resounding yes. "The counselors hugged her and thanked her for choosing life for her unborn child," Karen said. "She left smiling and happy. Praise God!"

Michele in Colorado Springs reports a car drove up to the clinic and two young women got out -- a woman scheduled for an abortion and her friend. The friend called out to the people praying outside the clinic, "I'm with you! Pray for her!" And of course they did just that. The two women went inside the clinic, then came back out and talked. They went back in again, and came back out and talked again.

This time, someone shared a scripture verse with them -- Isaiah 49:15: "Can a mother forget her infant, be without tenderness for the child of her womb? Even should she forget, I will never forget you." After reading this together, the two young women went home. The baby was saved!

Carol in Toms River, New Jersey was praying with a small group outside the clinic when a young couple walked out, quietly talking to one another. "She was crying," Carol noticed. "He hugged her and then she began to walk down the steps with a smile on her face and tears in her eyes."

The young woman looked at the vigil volunteers and said, "I could not do it. I just could not do it." Still, she was afraid of her mother's reaction, because it was her mother who was pushing the abortion. She also had concerns that her boyfriend might not be able to finish college. "But she took the first step in conquering those fears," Carol said, "and God will bless her."

Carol added, "There is much to be said when you realize that our prayers really make a difference. There is much to be said when you know in your heart you are part of God's plan. If you have not yet gotten involved in 40 Days for Life, I cannot tell you the blessings you will experience and the wonderful people you will meet -- all for the glory of God."

good job, the goal is to reduce the number of abortions, but the key word here is "choice" she had a "choice". Pro-Choice because I'm Pro-Woman.

When is being pro-life being anti-woman. Abortion actually destroys the choice of the unborn human being to live. Laws exist handling morality all of the time. Also, choice is never an unlimited right. One example I don't have a choice in owning slaves or doing crimes. Therefore, choice is not necessarily holy at every instance. Being pro-life is the epitome of more than just pro-man or pro-woman. It's pro-human being in general.

Don't be so naive Danny.
"good job, the goal is to reduce the number of abortions, but the key word here is "choice" she had a "choice". Pro-Choice because I'm Pro-Woman."

The founders of the women's rights movement, Susan B. Anthony and friends, were pro-life, not pro-abortion. At least half of the babies killed by abortion are females (MOST in countries like China and India). And those who side with the women that the abortion industry has lied to, injured, and even killed are the ones who are really pro-woman, not the choicist sheeple who support the abortion industry no-questions-asked.

Gianna is a WOMAN who miraculously survived an abortion. Obama calling her a despicable liar, when in fact SHE is the one telling the truth and he is the one lying is not exactly 'pro-woman'.

LEARN some things Danny.
WOMEN DESERVE BETTER than abortion.

OK...great comments. SO which one of you holier than thou morons living in the middle of nowhere robots are going to help these people with their babies AFTER you've insinuated yourself into their lives--at a very hormonal, unstable time-and begged these desperate people to do what YOU for some reason wanted them to do (not your business)-WILL YOU feed these children-?? WILL YOU be there when the mother winds up being resentful of this child she DIDNT ACTUALLY WANT and beats him, burns him with cigarettes, cant properly~or WONT properly raise him or her. WILL YOU set up college funds for every one of these kids~?? Without college--well, at least HERE where we work professional jobs in NYC~we need to be college educated, at an accredited college, have stable families that can help us and nurture us in order to just about "make it" as it is very competitive. See...its more than "talk them out of something WE dont agree with~its everything that happens AFTER we "get the kid out of the womb" and it stops being this cuddly mythical creature and actually has NEEDS these people cant fulfill. Too many children of abuse, poverty, crime out there because of LACK OF EDUCATION and CHOICES. Drive down into a ghetto and see all these kids WITH NOTHING and no choice now that "oh wow--your HERE!"...oh wait--they do have a choice--after highschool--instead of a good education they will go off to fight Bush's bull-s war. THATS what these kids are forced to do AND DIE ANYWAY. GREAT life, huh-?? THINK people, get off your damn high horse and worry about yourself...you have NO CLUE

I think you'd be surprised at how many of us are helping, engaged in follow-up or supporting others. And, in general, we give woman more credit than "won't properly raise", "beat", etc. to women. We call babies "he" or "she" rather than "it" because the latter is demeaning.

You've presented a false dilemma which gives two alternatives: kill the child or his or her life will be miserable. There are other options. Further, nothing you've said can ever justify killing a child.

Finally, abortion is not the answer to poverty, crime, "ghettos", and the lack of education.

Cyndella, I think you would also be surprised to learn about the lifelong pain and suffering most women feel after having an abortion. Abortion helps no one. Think of it this way, let's say a woman has an unwanted pregnancy, no matter what the reason (rape, incest, etc). Let's say, the pregnancy goes to full term. Is it right for that woman to kill the child AFTER the child is born, because that child was conceived as a result of the horrible crime committed against his or her mother? That would be considered murder, correct? So, tell me, how is it not considered murder, if child is killed while still in the womb? People who support abortion do a terrible job actually explaining what an abortion is. Abortion takes life away from a living, human being. Last I checked, when you take someone's life, against their will, that is considered murder. If we don't fight for the rights of our smallest and most innocent of victims, who will?
