Taylor Armerding of the Eagle-Tribune rightly criticizes Barack Obama's recent "clever line" about human life following Rick Warren's question, "At what point does a baby get human rights in your view?" Here are a few excerpts of his excellent editorial:
(...) So, if he really meant what he said, then being president is very much above his pay grade. Indeed, being a senator -- even a state senator -- is above his pay grade. Because legislators vote and decide on exactly those kinds of things. Obama has voted on such things.I had to laugh at this commenter's response:(...) If you want an unambiguous answer to Rick Warren's question, just ask the abortion lobby. Obama will do whatever they tell him to do.
(...) But these people are just as passionately "single-issue" on abortion when it comes to their own preference. It wouldn't matter how qualified, how brilliant, how anything a nominee to the Supreme Court might be -- if that nominee gave even the slightest inclination of being pro-life, they would oppose his or her confirmation with every weapon they had.
Don't pick on Barack, he is a democrat and you're in the media. Get with the program, put down the microscope and stop sniffing around where you don't belong. Repeat after me, "He is not the droid you are looking for".At the eve of the Democratic National Convention, the MSM has remained relativey silent on Obama's vote against the Born Alive Bill, which would have outlawed infanticide in IL. We are glad a few brave bloggers are covering the event. Now go rip republicans like you're paid to do.
