How do you feel about the "none of the above" call that some are making? Will it be better for America and mankind if we just stay home on election day & allow Obama to be elected, just because he isn't the perfect Republican?
John Jakubczyk wrote on his blog that:
Such action on the part of such voters could prove disastrous for the country and the future of our children and grandchildren.
Barack Obama is probably the most left leaning candidate ever fielded by the Democratic Party in recent history. He is the combination of Al Gore, George McGovern and Michael Dukakis all rolled into one. Actually he makes those fellows seem rather moderate. And we all know their history. McGovern was the first of the anti-war zealots, promoting amnesty and abortion. Mondale, Dukakis, Gore, Kerry, all were left leaning government expansionists. But Obama is a clear cut socialist. His programs are all about taking from one group and giving to another. He is about income redistribution with the government taking its cut and giving that cut to his friends. And I have not even touched upon his willingness to join in on the persistent attack on the family, the unborn, and the institution of marriage.
Think about this one folks. Are conservatives serious about allowing a hard-core, pro-abortion/pre-natal death socialist Obama to be elected as President of the United States, just because McCain's not our first pick? Or perhaps as punishment to America, so that we will wise up & vote for a real conservative next time?
My opinion? I say we push to elect the best man for the job possible. Then, after we have done so, we challenge that man to do everything possible to more represent our views. That's why we started the Monthly Call For Life at CallForLife.us. We know we won't always win all elections, and we know we won't always get the perfect person elected.
1) That doesn't mean we don't try
2) That doesn't mean we give up
I am a Pro-Life purist. I will gladly admit that. It doesn't mean I have to oppose McCain because he isn't one. Currently, there are 2 men running for the job as President. John McCain is right on many key issues and has served our country honorably, spending 5 years being tortured so that I can speak my mind in the good old USA.
Obama is not only pro-abortion/pre-natal death, his friends, mentors & donors include Socialists, Communists and terrorist organizations. He also promised America his first act as President would be to pass the Freedom of Choice Act in order to protect Roe v. Wade. From the Obama web site:
Throughout my career, I've been a consistent and strong supporter of reproductive justice, and have consistently had a 100% pro-choice rating with Planned Parenthood and NARAL Pro-Choice America.
I would rather get McCain elected & challenge him to understand that all men (and women) are created equal and that we all have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, instead of sitting back & watching a hard-core abortion/pre-natal murder supporter get in. If elected, Obama will have the ability to ensure mass slaughter for untold years.
