Former President Bill Clinton had a little temper tantrum in response to taunts from pro-life students while stumping for his presidential wanna-be wife Hillary in Steubenville, Ohio, on Sunday night.
Bill said:
"I gave you the answer. We disagree with you," Clinton said. "You wanna criminalize women and their doctors and we disagree. I reduced abortion. Tell the truth, tell the truth, If you were really pro-life, if you were really pro-life, you would want to put every doctor and every mother as an accessory to murder in prison. And you won't say you wanna do that because you know, that you wouldn't have a lick of political support. Now, the issue is who, the issue is, you can't name me anybody presently in politics that did more to introduce policies that reduce the number of real abortions instead of the hot air putting out to tear people up and make votes by dividing America. This is not your rally. I heard you. That's another thing you need is a president, somebody who will stick up for individual rights and not be pushed around, and she won't."
Tip of the hat to: Students for Life of America, who offer video of the spectacle here on the group's website.
In my six years observing and writing about abortion, I've neither met nor heard of an anti-abortion activist advocating the criminalization of women for either wanting or having abortions.
Once again, Bill Clinton has proven himself to be a liar.
No wonder his pants are on fire.

Since abortion is murder, and all prolife groups work
to get the law changed to reflect this simple fact,
it stands to reason that all women who has abortions
will be prosecuted for 1st degree murder.
If a doctor was involved, he will of course also be
prosecuted. However in the future very few doctors
would risk this, so as a pratical matter in most cases
it will only be the women who is prosecuted.
There was a discussion on this very web site not long ago
regarding the actual punishment for these women.
The writer was reluctant to endorce capital punishment
but suggested 7-10 years.
This is of cource the discussion we should be having.
Obviously murder in the 1st degree can not somehow be
ignored by prosecutors.
7 to 10 years seems rather light, 25 to life would
be more in line would current guidelines.
Yes, considering abortion is murder and that these women choose voluntarily to kill their unborn child, they should be prosecuted accordingly. Respectively, the abortionist - who has vowed previously to "do no harm" - also commits murder. After all, this is their "choice"...
Society should definitely re-criminalize abortion, homosexuality, adultery, and other moral crimes. The problem is that so many people have lost the stigma that there is anything wrong with these abhorrent behaviors.
You know what his b.s. claims remind me of? The abortion lobby's incessant claming credit for the drop in abortion mortality between 1960 and 1980. They say, "Look at the ten years before the first states legalized abortion on demand, and the ten years after!" What they ignore is that abortion mortality -- like ALL maternal mortality -- had been falling for the entire century, especially since the advent of antibiotics and blood transfusions.
Take a trend that was already in place, and claim credit for it.
Clinton is such a slimebag liar it's a wonder he doesn't spontanesouly combust. Him work to REDUCE abortion? His first acts as President were signing an exectutive order forcing US military doctors overseas to participate in abortions!
Does anybody else remember the outrageous things he did? And he claims he was working to REDUCE abortions?
May that man's jaw sieze up and totally lock every time a lie attempts to escape his lips!
