Washington, D.C. - Former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline will join Family Research Council's Blogs for Life, on Tuesday, January 22, 2008. In addition to General Kline, the conference will feature several prominent conservative voices including Congressman Chris Smith (R-NJ), Amherst College Professor Hadley P. Arkes, Eric Scheidler, Michael Illions, Dawn Eden and Jill Stanek, all speaking with bloggers live from Family Research Council's headquarters.
Throughout his career as both legislator and attorney, General Kline has fought to protect women and the unborn by demanding legal and medical accountability in the abortion industry. He was recognized as "Legislator of the Year" by Kansas' developmentally disabled and mental health communities. He currently serves as District Attorney in Johnson County, Kansas.

Blogs for Life is the third annual conference of pro-life bloggers and is scheduled on the day of the 35th annual March for Life, during which tens of thousands of pro-life citizens gather in the nation's capital to celebrate life and demand the reversal of the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion. In addition to the March, January 20th has been proclaimed Sanctity of Life Sunday and provides an opportunity for pastors to inspire and motivate their congregations in preparation for this somber anniversary.
Perhaps I'm not up on the proper title to use for a person who is or was a attorney general (state or federal), but 'General Kline' just sounds wrong. I've never heard that kind of title used to refer to any attorney general before.
