Online Window Shopping at PPFA's Store

A distraction seemed in order while waiting for word on whether Planned Parenthood's clinic -- the one PPFA tried to slip into Aurora, Ill., under the false names Gemini Office Development and Gemini Health Systems -- will open this week as originally scheduled.

So I went window shopping in Planned Parenthood's online store to check out the new products.

Top on my list of creepy items from America's busiest abortion provider is the "birds & the bees one piece/infant gown" that Planned Parenthood sells for "your favorite baby or toddler."

Nevermind the gift of life.

For older chosen children in the family, PPFA offers a tasteless "School Supply Kit" especially for teens. The clear plastic case features the message "Being a good partner means having the right tools." A ruler inside the case reads "Does Size Matter? Got Questions? Get Answers!"

Voters who wish to wear their commitment to aborting babies on their automobile bumpers will find both "Democrat. Freedom. Choice!" and "Republican. Freedom. Choice!" (Is this second one supposed to be a joke?) bumpers stickers.

A third bumper sticker declares "America Loves [represented by a heart] Plannned Parenthood," which strikes me as delusional. Bet PPFA won't be selling many of those in Aurora, based on the local response to having an abortion clinic open clandestinely in that community.

New T-shirts feature the silly message "I Love [represented by a heart] Women" and the one-word message "Vote."

Plus, there 's a PPFA "Vote" tote.

I'm still trying to find the Planned Parenthood Federation of America's "Aborting Babies is Our Business" product line.

There is just something inherently ghoulish about dressing up any child -- especially a baby -- in Planned Parenthood gear. It's like slapping D-Con logos all over your pet mouse's cage.

Another thought: If they were honest, their kids' gear would all say, "Product of Conditional Love".

YOU PEOPLE ARE SO IGNORANT. DO YOU REALIZE THAT PLANNED PARENTHOOD DOES OTHER THINGS BESIDES ABORTION? DO ANY OF YOU REALIZE HOW MANY TEENS GIVE BIRTH EVERY YEAR BECAUSE THE ONLY SEX ED THEY HAVE RECIEVED IS ABSTINENCE? PLANNED PARENTHOOD HELPS EDUCATE PEOPLE ABOUT SEX, BY TELLING THEM THE TRUTH. THEY HELP PEOPLE TO "PLAN" AND PREVENT PARENTHOOD. AND DON'T GIVE ME THAT CRAP THAT "SEX IS ONLY FOR REPRODUCTION"...I DOUBT ANY OF YOU HAVE ONLY HAD SEX TO REPRODUCE. YOU ALL SHOULD VISIT THE PLANNED PARENTING WEBSITE TO LEARN WHAT THEY ACTUALLY DO. LESS THAN 10% OF THEIR BUSINESS IS ACTUALLY PERFORMING ABORTIONS. I HAD A BABY WHEN I WAS 16. WHEN I GOT PREGNANT, THE FIRST PLACE I TURNED TO WAS PLANNED PARENTHOOD. THEY DID NOT TALK ME INTO GETTING AN ABORTION, THEY PRESENTED ME WITH INFORMATION ABOUT SEX & PREGNANCY. THEY EVEN HELPED ME TELL MY PARENTS (WHO WERE BOTH ABUSIVE ALCOHOLOCS). THEY WERE THERE FOR ME, AND NOW I AM 22, I HAVE A COLLEGE DEGREE, A GREAT JOB AND A WONDERFUL SON...THANKS TO PLANNED PARENTHOOD.

MEG, you seem like a new commenter to the web as you use all capitals (a flame technique for simulating screaming at people). At least that's what I hope is the reason.

I'mnot giving you any crap. It sounds like you had your baby and I am glad for you. The simple fact is you are in the vast huge minority of women who went to PP and ended up with a living child. Abortions are the end result in 93% or more of all pregnancies seen by Planned Parenthood. From their own Annual Reports, that fact comes.

You may not be following all the recent posts on PP, therefore you think you know all about what PP is all about. You don't. We know full well that they do other things besides abortion. We discussed those things in this post, as well as the fact that abortion makes up between 63.3% and 71% of Planned Parenthood Federation of America's total clinic revenue (that is from their own Annual Report in 2003-04, and the numbers are similar in later years).

Here is that full post and don't forget to read the comments if you want to find out the real truth about PP: http://www.prolifeblogs.com/articles/archives/2007/09/what_percentage.php

Abstinence has been found to be good, not bad for teens as you claimed, as we talked about in that post's comments as well: "In my own state, the Connecticut Post published an article about 'Pregnancies among children aged 10 to 14 declined precipitously in Connecticut during the last decade...in Connecticut, the number of live births among 10-to-14-year-olds declined from 311 to 178, a 42.7 percent drop. Martha Okafor, director of the state public health department's maternal and child-health program, attributes the lower girls' pregnancy rates to improved abstinence-education efforts in schools. 'We have tried so many things over the years, working with both school-based health clinics that provide comprehensive reproduc-tive health information, but abstinence has played a major role,' Okafor said."

PP's research arm Guttmacher, lies to everyone as well: as discussed here, http://www.prolifeblogs.com/articles/archives/2007/09/the_forgotten_c.php#comments

PP helps educate people about sex, all right, and has contributed to the excessive promiscuity of both boys and girls so much that they've been trying to backtrack from that effect they've had.

They also educate 7 year old girls exactly how to have sex, phone sex, masturbate and give them 10 reasons why they should have abortions.

These same PP education programs have coincided with the absolute skyrocketing of STDs in this nation. All from the mouths of scientists, not prolifers, as we discussed in this post, http://www.prolifeblogs.com/articles/archives/2007/09/hannitys_americ.php

"YOU ALL SHOULD VISIT THE PLANNED PARENTING WEBSITE TO LEARN WHAT THEY ACTUALLY DO."

In fact, I have done just that, Meg. And I listed all the published scientific studies that completely shredded their smooth, lying answers to these 9 questions that they post on their website:

#1: Does getting an abortion hurt?

#2: How will I feel after an abortion?

#3: Any emotional problems after abortion?

#4: Does abortion cause breast cancer?

#5: Does an early abortion make ectopic, or tubal, pregnancy more likely in the future?

#6: What about future pregnancies? Will an early abortion affect my ability to have a child in the future?

#7: Does an early abortion cause premature birth or low infant birth weight in future pregnancies? Does an early abortion make miscarriage more likely in the future? Does having several abortions affect future pregnancies?

#8: Does an early abortion cause birth defects in future pregnancies?

#9: Does an early abortion increase the chance of infant death in the future?

Those proofs are all here, http://afterabortion.blogspot.com/2004/11/shredding-myths-about-abortions_02.html

You too have been sold a bill of goods by PP. They lie to us women, and they try to shut up those of us (me included) who have had abortions and later came to deeply suffer from and regret them.

I'm glad that you had a good experience with PP. But just because you did, doesn't discount the hundreds of thousands who didn't, who ended up with abortions they can never take back, and health and emotional problems that may never go away...THANKS TO PLANNED PARENTHOOD.

It wasn't clear if you did or did not have an abortion. There was a thought, apparently. You sounded angry & defending. Meg, look at your son when he grows up and tell him, it is okay for his wife to choose life or death, or it's not that big of a deal, or it's unimportant. I don't think you can do that. It sounds like you're a loving mom who will cherish & protect her son for as long as possible. Some mothers savor their child until the parent dies. Some parents through many ways, wind up having to bury their children before they, themselves go. Unfortunately, many pregnant mothers are given wrong information about abortion & they choose abortion b/c it is convenient for their lives. Years later, they learn that they were duped by the information. When a mother loses a child, no matter the death tool (cancer/illness, murder, abuse, car accident, suicide, neglect or abortion) a mother's instinct for that child, no matter how long the baby has been in or out of the womb, never recovers; that instinct, that mother's intuition, never catches up with the news of death & never, ever goes away. It's the little "thing" in your heart, protected by a mother's love that has the ability to protect her child, that will stay with you until you are gone. People at Planned Parenthood, in politics, or whomever they are, know this well, but hearts are hardened. I appreciated your honest comments about Planned Parenthood, and hope that as time goes by, the little voice you hear one day, when the day is right, the timing is there, information gets sorted out in your head and heart, maternal insticts have become second nature, that you'll recognize that little voice saying, "Mommy, I forgive you". Right now, you don't want this scenario of the tiny voice to be true, because it hurts all that you believe you are b/c you are now a mom. I know you'll do the right thing in the future no matter your opinion now, b/c it will be recognized in the face of your child you mother now each time you call him, "Precious", or "the love of your life". All people are precious. All have worth. All should have mothers whose instincts and intuitions cry out for all children to be loved. Maybe you personally did not have an abortion, but you sound like you would contribute to the idea of someone else having an abortion. I pray the love of your son will change your mind. Thank you for listening. I've never "blogged" before. Nanalee
