Ironies abound in Planned Parenthood's attempt to slip an abortion clinic into Aurora, Ill., by hiding its identity under the false names Gemini Office Development and Gemini Health Systems.
PPFA's choice of Illinois is ironic because one of the most influential national pro-life activists leads the highly effective Pro-Life Action League, which he founded in 1980, in Chicago. If I were trying to sneak an abortion clinic into town, the last person I would want within striking distance is Joe Scheidler.
(Here's how Mr. Scheidler and his Pro-Life Action League are rallying the troops to address PPFA's deception in Aurora.)
There's also irony in PPFA's efforts to keep folks in the dark about opening an abortion clinic in Illinois' second largest city since it is known as the "City of Lights."
And, isn't is ironic that Planned Parenthood tries to bring the darkness of death by abortion to a place that bears the name of the goddess of the dawn in Roman mythology Aurora?
It fits. The dealings of a group that refers to itself as "Planned Parenthood," even as it routinely ends motherhood and fatherhood, are bound to be full of contradictions.
