This past Friday a group of pro-lifers, including a blogger from Prolifeblogs.com, showed up to intervene at an abortion clinic in Chester County, Pennsylvania. While some blocked entrances others counseled patients.
One has to wonder if this is the beginning of a revival of clinic blockades, also known as rescues, or if it's just a limited use of this tactic.

I dread a revival of blockades. They swayed the public to move to protect abortion, and took the focus off the woman and their babies and put it on prolifers that everybody but other prolifers saw as frightening.
I can't tell from the linked story if they actually blocked the door completely. It says that the one person arrested had already returned to the sidewalk at the time he was arrested. Is there perhaps a fuzzy line here between a sidewalk picketing protest and an actual blockade? Just to what extent were the doors completely blocked? It certainly doesn't sound like anyone chained himself to them, and it sounds like the majority of the people were engaging in a protest on the public sidewalk. But perhaps I'm interpreting wrongly.
I think it's very important that we _not_ demonize clinic protests and sidewalk counseling
I agree with Lydia and would add that the individual who was arrested seemed to be confused as to why. This wasn't a clinic blockade as I understand them.
