A Travis Judge has ruled on the side of mother trying to keep her son on life support. Catarina Gonzales gets more time with her child. A temporary restraining order has been issued against the seton family of hospitals. This order gives Gonzales more time to look for a transfer facility for her son Emilio. Jerri Ward, Attorney for Gonzales, says as of now Austin's Children's Hospital doesn't think Emilio is a candidate for a tracheotomy, which she disagrees with. She says they have medical evidence and opinions from other doctors indicating that he is a candidate - which will help his chances to move into a long term care facility.
We will pray for Emilo and his family. Don't understand why our justice system has to play GOD.

We encourage you to continue to fight for Emilio's life. We went through a similar battle for our son's life back in January in Oklahoma. The doctors wanted to end Joel's life because of their view of death. We believed that his heart beating and his blood flowing demonstrated that he was alive. This child is blind deaf and paralyzed.His mind is slowly deteriorating. He isn't dying naturally, he's on life suppport, if he wasnt, he'd already be with our Father in heaven. If anything, thats playng God. In my opinion, which in this case is just as valid as any other seeings how emilio's mother has no conscious problem with talking and taking numerous interviews about her dying son which therefore makes it public and subject to criticism. The fact is, its not a case of "the government" against him or even the hospital. Its whats best for the child. Even the mother has OPENLY admitted on one of her multiple interviews that she knows her son will die, b/c ultimately thats what the illness he has comes to. Her exact words were," I want as much time with him as possible." This sounds like utter selfishness, in everything she said, it starts with "I." Not ever, "This is whats best for Emilio." its always," No one knows how I feel, or I can't have more children or I,I,I,I." The other point is you can adopt, thousands of parents have infertility problems but if you were to ask them if they could have either their own blood child stuck in a hospital, with tubes and straps and breathing machinne, bloated and unresopnsive, or adopt I bet you any of them would choose instead to take a healthy child that has no family. The mother has sent his file to New York and Chicago and many other prestigious places and everyone has considered it, meaning they looked over it, and come to the conclusion that he will only endure more pain and the damage is irreversible. I mean all she is doing is complaining, if my child was in his state, I wouldnt be on T.V. and if I was it would be for a good cause. She isnt starting organizations for the disease he has or trying to do anything but make a hospital with doctors who analyze cases like this everyday look bad. Now it's just a expliotative fiasco. No murder would take place, its now a question of ethics. As far as my concern, emilios already in heaven. Now the's ridiculous question of keeping this child artificially alive till his brain has completely lost all function and deteeriorated, what mother would go through that? Or more importantly, WANT to?
