Although there is significant political uncertainty and the polls are fickle, crisis pregnancy centers remain faithful, helping woman and their children:“As the tide turns in Congress, pregnancy centers will play an increasingly strategic role in the pro-life movement,” said Care Net President Kurt Entsminger in response to the 2006 mid-term election results. “As the gavel is passed to abortion advocates in leadership positions, pro-life legislative advances will inevitably be shut down. In the years ahead, pregnancy centers remain the best and last hope for reducing abortion in America.”

We are committed to sustaining our critical efforts and keeping our hand to the plow – empowering women and men facing crisis pregnancies with love, support, and help finding abortion alternatives.”Despite the mixed results, Care Net remains optimistic that Americans are becoming more aware of how abortion hurts women. “We believe that Americans feel strongly that no woman should be coerced into abortion or feel that it is her only option,” said Entsminger. “Despite shifting political sands, we believe that the work of pregnancy centers will continue to be broadly supported and increasingly effective.”
