Georgette Forney of Silent No More Awareness is organizing 1,700 signatures to appear in an ad. If you want your name to be included, please read on and respond by finding and emailing your regional coordinator who will send you the form.
The following is addressed to SNM's regional coordinators, and they can tell you what's already being done and if you can help. I'm adding mine as soon as I finish this post.
Attached is the form that should be filled out and mailed to me at the address below. The form is the official way for you or anyone you share this with to be included on the signature ad. No form – no name on ad. We want to make sure no one can accuse us of creating fictitious names so each name must have a form completely filled out to go with each name.Obviously we invite you all to sign a form and have your name included. We also want you to print out extra copies of the two documents and personally put them into the hands of your Silent No More friends. 1,700 names will fill up the page. You may want to use this as an opportunity to connect with leadership of some of the pregnancy centers as many of their volunteers have abortion experiences and may welcome this type of Silent No More activity.
If you are interested in putting this ad in your newspaper all you need to do is contact their advertising department and ask them "What is your rate for a non-profit organization to place a full page ad on a weekday?" They will quote you a price; make sure you clarify if it's discounted for you as a non-profit. Also ask them about the circulation level. (This number will help in fundraising as this is the number of people who get the paper.) Finally ask them what format they want the ad in. [Pagemaker, QuarkXPress, MAC, PC, Camera ready, PDF?] You then can begin praying for God to guide you to people with the funds you need. I recommend also contacting me so I can be praying for you. Janet and I can see if we know anyone in your area who may be able to help. You may also want to compare paper ad rates if you have more than one paper in your area.
