She stated:
"Is Giuliani the perfect man? No. Will be he a perfect president? Hell no, no such creature can exist. But I do trust him to bring us strict constitutionalist SCOTUS judges. I trust that hell say issues like gay marriage and abortion, etc, belong to the states, which they do. I frankly think overall he will be a better president than anyone currently on the scene."
Abortion belongs to the states? Ok, let me forget that one for a second & get to the real meat & potatos.
"Nate and the rest of you who are shocked, shocked by my support of Giuliani wont have to worry about abortion and gay marriage because our Islamofascist overlords will take care of those issue for us."
Everyone has their battle to fight, but that doesn't mean that just because a person is fighting the war on terror that he doesn't have to be moral, and that he shouldn't condemn immorality and murder. Hitler helped Germany overcome poverty and brought their country out of the ashes. Of course he did it on the ashes of over 10 million Jews and other "undesirables".
and..
"Would I prefer that Giulianis leadership skills fell completely in line with my creed and my own values? Of course I would. But you know, I go to church every Sunday and see huge lines of people receiving Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist, and I know that most of them havent been to confession in ages."
We're not talking about petty theft here, or perhaps an affair. Giuliani is twice divorced & is pro-homosexual and a solid pro-abort.
Lawyers for his estranged wife, Donna Hanover, say she was granted a divorce after Mr Giuliani admitted to cruel and inhumane treatment based on a relationship with another woman.
and ...
"We know this man, Giuliani, and he is a man-in-full. I would rather have one faulty, imperfect man-in-full in office, (one who is willing to be unpopular, if thats what it takes) and dealing with our devils, than a dozen more perfect and palatable types who either cant get elected or are too distracted by the demands of the base to do what needs doing."
He is not "dealing with our devils", he is making friends with them. You are taking the horrible murder of abortion too lightly in favor of your own personal comfort.
She continues:
"Difficult times demand of us difficult choices. From where I sit, it doesnt appear that endorsing someone who strictly adheres to orthodox Catholicism will necessarily get the job done that needs doing, to defeat the larger and more ominous forces that are threatening our nation, Western Civilization and, yes, our faith."
By my count the terrorists have killed around 5,000 Americans in the last 4 years. Abortion has killed over 4 million since then. You don't consider that as bad or worse than terrorism? Children are ripped from the womb, one piece at a time, arms and legs torn away, then the torso, only to leave a floating head inside, which the abortionist has to then fish for.
We have enough RINOs in office right now, thank you. Too many Republicans are no longer trying to defend life and morality in America anymore.
In his own words:
Im pro-choice. Im pro-gay rights, Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. No, I have not supported that, and I dont see my position on that changing, he responded.
Anchoress, I'm sorry you believe that a man like that is what we need in office as a Republican. I hope it makes you feel safer knowing that he supports killing children in the womb all the way up the day of birth. Maybe you need to go to this web site to check out a few links on what it is we are talking about.
But so many RINOs would rather hide from the reality of abortion.
As far as abortion being the responsibility of the states. That is absolute nonsense. Abortion is murder and we don't need 50 states to decide that for us 1 at a time. The United States Congress needs to pass a law protecting American citizens from womb to tomb!

I have never voted for a pro-abortion candidate and I never will and if the Republicans put up one in 08, I think they'll lose. They have been in the process of abandoning the pro-life conservatives on far too many issues. Part of me still thinks Guliani won't run because he thinks he cant get the nomination. Seems like he'd have definitely said so by now. I think the pro-lifers have done a good job letting people know who MADE the Republican Party-the Miers fit was just one example. There'll finally be no difference between Democrats and Republicans if they put up a pro-abortion moderate in my view. And I have changed my terms-I used to use 'pro-choice' but it's 'pro-baby killing'. The problem is one can be a Republican and believe just about anything these days with the Republicans sharing the Democrat agenda so many times.
There are two completely independent issues. One issue is what the correct policy on abortion is. Giuliani clearly gets that wrong. Another is which governmental authority should be the one to declare such issues. The standard conservative view on this issue is that the state legislature should be the one to set policy on such issues, not the federal executive, legislature, or judiciary and not the state executive or judiciary. This is the view of George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas, and the vast majority of pro-life politicians and thinkers. It's also the view of most pro-choice libertarians, including Rudy Giuliani. Whatever you say about this issue, therefore, is completely independent of what you think should be the policy state legislatures should implement. You happen to have a different view of the legitimate legal process and the constitutionality of what the U.S. Congress has the right to do. But just be aware that in condemning Giuliani's views on this matter you are also condemning the views of all the Supreme Court justices who have opposed Roe v. Wade as well as pretty much all the prominent pro-life thinkers who know much of anything about the constitutionality of the authority of the U.S. Congress as opposed to state legislatures.
