*Andrea Clark's Life Hangs in the Balance at St. Luke's in Houston*
Texas Right to Life has been working for the last three weeks with the family of Andrea Clark, a patient at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston, who was slated to have all life-sustaining treatment (including food and water) removed against her wishes on Sunday, April 30. This decision was made by Andrea's primary physician and then approved by the St.Luke's ethics committeechaired by a prominent Houston abortionist, RobertJ. Carpenter, Jr. *(Yes, it's truethis prestigious medical institutional lows an abortionist to spearhead all the ethical decisions of the hospital.)*

It is no surprise that the Episcopal Bishop of Texas is unable to provide moral leadership at St. Luke's Episcopal. Many years ago his predecessor, John Hines, was unwillingly to exert pressure to desegregate the same hospital. But when civil rights became fashionable and Hines was Presiding Bishop of ECUSA he pushed through a silly and pointless payment of reparations to black militant groups. My bet is that black folk would rather have had medical care, when they needed it, than slush funds for would-be revolutionaries. But Hines said there was nothing he could do, just as most likely the current bishop of Texas will claim that there is nothing he can do.
