Proponents of embryonic stem cell research often cite all the potentials of the research, but they usually fail to mention that a human life is destroyed every time stem cells are removed from an embryo. The goals of this research may be noble, but that doesn't mean that we should abandon our respect for human life to attain these goals. Embryonic stem cell research is a case where the end doesn't justify the means.
In an effort to keep the public up-to-date on stem cell research, Right to Life of Michigan has launched a new web site, www.stemcellresearchcures.com. This site provides just the truth and avoids the unsubstantiated claims and false hopes on which many proponents of embryonic stem cell research and human cloning for research rely.
The StemCellResearchCures.com web site contains information on the medical advances in adult stem cell research, the difference between adult stem cell research and embryonic stem cell research, the option of embryo adoption, the importance of ethics in research and links to articles of interest and various commentaries on stem cell research.
