Napolitano Wants State Intrusion

Shane Wikfors, Director of Arizona Right to Life has strong words for Governor Janet Napolitano's recent veto of the Fetal Pain Bill:

Yes, I am calling the governor a hypocrite.

On Tuesday, April 11th, Janet Napolitano vetoed the Arizona Right to Life-supported Fetal Pain bill.

It was a travesty of justice.

In her statement to the press, Napolitano wrote, "The Legislature should not attempt to substitute its judgment for that of trained physicians with respect to professional advice given to patients."

Wow!

This runs contrary to what the Governor said when she vetoed a bill that would have allowed pharmacists and other health care providers the right to conscientiously object to dispensing abortifacients.

In that veto, Napolitano said, "Pharmacies and other health care service providers have no right to interfere in the lawful personal-medical decisions made by patients and their doctors."
