In yet another wielding of the pen, Governor Napolitano vetoed a bill prohibiting the sale of human eggs.House Bill 2142 would have banned the sale of human eggs during a time when human egg brokers are offering college women tens of thousands of dollars for their eggs. Oftentimes, the process for extracting human eggs can be a very painful and risky medical procedure that could cause a stroke or heart attack.
Representative Bob Stump (R-9) sponsored the bill and became the primary legislative expert and spokesman not only in Arizona but across the country.
