Yes, Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle consistently opposes the sanctity of human life:
Brookfield, WI – Pro-Life Wisconsin State Director Peggy Hamill issued the following statements about Gov. Doyle’s executive order to spend $5 million in tax dollars through the Dept. of Commerce to promote embryo-destructive research:"The embryos on whom the Governor is promoting research are people – they have their own distinct DNA and if they were created naturally and not manipulated by scientists, they would gestate and grow up to look like you and me. They are our brothers and sisters.
"What kind of scientists and what kind of research is the Governor wasting our tax dollars on? Pro-Life Wisconsinites have worked for several years to promote reasonable safeguards on scientific research through a Comprehensive Human Cloning Ban. The Governor overruled the consciences of the Assembly, Senate and the people of Wisconsin by vetoing this common sense measure."Gov. Doyle now wants us to trust him with inviting 10% of the nation’s embryonic stem cell researchers to our state, with no safeguards in place. The researchers to whom Gov. Doyle has made a habit of handing our tax dollars show a callous disregard for human life when they conduct embryo-destructive research.
"Gov. Doyle is trying to emotionally blackmail the citizens of our state when he pins our hopes for potential cures for debilitating diseases – cures which would happen only years down the road, if at all – on research that the Governor’s own Catholic faith condemns as horrendously immoral. Gov. Doyle ought to be ashamed!"

There is no "sanctity" to a "life" with Parkinson's disease. Cells are not people, no matter what the Catholic Church or the Pope says. The "church" has never been in the forefront of science, but has always been a drag on progress. The CC is just now considering condoms as a way to control AIDS. Why should I have to wait for their approval? I'm an agnostic.
As it turns out, truth is independent of what you believe and you are bound by it. Calling a human a collection of cells is an intellectually dishonest characterization, it is a lie. Your agnostic beliefs in no way impact the reality that it is immoral to take a human life and your needs certainly do not outway the right of another individual to life.
Hey look, Rayilyn is back to infect this website with more of its lies and propaganda.
Now its telling us that life is not worth living if you have Parkinson's Disease, as if this has anything to do with embryonic stem cell research, which will NEVER cure Parkinson's Disease. ESCR is the modern day snake oil, but Rayilyn wants to fund it with millions or billions of OUR tax dollars just because Rayilyn is mindlessly hostile toward religion, and likes spouting off blatant lies about Catholics being anti-science.
Does it even matter to Rayilyn that unlimited amounts of private or state money can be used to fund unlimited ESCR? No, it won't be happy until unlimited amounts of private, state, AND federal money are wasted on worthless research.
Rayilyn, you sure are a funny creature. In one breath you complain that the church refuses to sanctify the use of condoms, and in the next, you say that you don't need the Pope's approval to act like an idiot. Considering that the vast majority of people who got HIV via sexual contact were DISOBEYING Catholic social teaching on chastity, maybe you "agnostics" SHOULD listen to the Pope?
