I regret to inform you that Senator Roy Dyson just voted in favor of ending debate on the SB 144, the Maryland Stem Cell Research Act of 2006. With only 18 voting to continue debate, the filibuster is over. It is nearly certain now that your tax dollars will be used to fund research involving the killing of human embryos.

I believe Senator Dyson was labeled as one of the "brave Senators" who were going to stand up against the culture of death. Though he is a Democrat, who traditionally vote for the culture of death, his record up to this point has been Pro-Life for many years.
I get the feeling some political or financial lubrication has taken place which helped him slide over to the culture of death.
Folks, we need to ring Senator Dyson's phone off the hook & flood his email with our reaction to this! Embryonic stem cell research has not yielded one single benefit to mankind and is responsible for the deaths of many.

You so-called "pro-life" people are the real culture of death because you prefer cellular life to actual life. Your crazy faith based notion that cells are people has no place as the basis for public policy in a secular society.
Embryonic stem cells have produced no cures because you and Bush block the research. Adult stem cell research is fine, but it has not cured my Parkinson's disease, so please stop using every experiment as "proof" of cures.
Life begins at the moment of conception. It isn't "cellular life" we are defending, they are live human beings which the culture of death wants to kill to benefit themselves.
Hwang had free reign for years, killing many humans along the way. He lied repeatedly about cures and advances which never existed.
On the other hand many people have been "cured" because of adult stem cell research.
a) Embryonic stem cell research is murder
b) Who would want to invest in something that costs so much with 0 results. That's 0, meaning goose egg, after billions of dollars spent.

I�d add that the classification of a human being as a clump of cells and its subsequent use to advance a pro-embryonic stem cell research argument is a logical fallacy. In fact, the assertion suffers from false equivocation, appeal to emotion and circular reasoning. In addition, a straw man argument is built by suggesting that the pro-life position is that "cells are people" and "crazy faith" is an ad hominem attack.
