Melanie's Pro-Life project is closehopeclinic.com. As she says in her interview, "It has been called worse than Tiller's clinic in Kansas by leaders I know in the Pro-Life movement because of the volume of abortions, the late term abortions that take place there and the fact that after repeated attempts to have authorities investigate the actions there and close them, there has been a non-response."

She also volunteers at a local maturnity home, is an assistant for Stop the ACLU and writes articles for Renew America on Alan Keyes website.

Pro-Life Blogger Interviews is proud to present to you, Ms. Melanie Mills.

Q1 - What is your Pro-Life project/blog to help end abortion? (brief bio)

Q1 Answer- My Pro-Life project is my website closehopeclinic.com. I am targeting the abortion clinic where my abortion took place. It has been called worse than Tiller's clinic in Kansas by leaders I know in the Pro-Life movement because of the volume of abortions, the late term abortions that take place there and the fact that after repeated attempts to have authorities investigate the actions there and close them, there has been a non-response. This place is truly a threat to the unborn and women across the country. Women come from all over to abort there. I am also writing my autobiography, "A Prodigal Woman's Wisdom Shared". It talks about my life, my abortion and what led up to it. I also share my battle through Post Abortion Syndrome. I also talk about how I was sued for telling my story by the abortion clinic, my victory in the courts and my continued Pro-Life work. I also volunteer at a local maternity home. I am also Assistant to Nedd Karieva Director of Stop the ACLU Coalition, and I write articles about abortion at Renew America on Alan Keyes website. Most proudly though, I am a stay at home Mom of my 3 beautiful boys! I think being a Mom and putting your heart & soul into it is probably the best and most important Pro-Life job of all since Motherhood has been so devalued by our culture and abortion. I also testify for House and Senate Bills on abortion regulations in Missouri and Illinois and I keep in contact regularly with lawmakers and politicians in MO to keep them updated on Pro-Life issues. I also email my data base daily on Pro-Life news.

Q2 - Do you believe all abortions are wrong? (Explain)

Q2 Answer- I do believe all abortions are wrong. I believe that if people would take responsibility for their actions they wouldn't be faced with enormous problems. Even when people are responsible I know pregnancy can occur at times when it is not ideal, but there are many solutions that don't involve killing to solve the dilema a woman might face. In rape and incest cases studies have shown that abortion increases emotional trauma in the woman. The old addage of two wrongs don't make a right is quite true, and in those cases there are still alternatives to abortion.

Q3 - How does God fit in your project?

Q3 Answer- I believe Pro-Life work is just an extension of my relationship with Christ and our Father in Heaven. If I didn't do this work then I will be held accountable on Judgement day so God really has everything to do with it. I choose to be an RN when I was younger based on my religious views and upbringing. I wanted to help people and being an RN I feel is truly like a religious calling. You have to feel it in your heart to be a truly caring & gentle practitioner. I believe that all comes from God. If you have love in your heart then you will want to show love and kindness to others in all that you do.

Q4 - Where do you see the Pro-Life movement headed?

Q4 Answer- I see the Pro-Life movement headed to total victory. With the advent of Fetology (fetal medicine), 3 & 4D ultrasound and modern medical advances, anyone that has the belief that this is not life in it's early form is just completely wrong and unethical. I believe Pro-Choice proponents are starting to be viewed as not "en vogue" as they once were. I think more and more people understand the brutality of abortion and those that still support it will be viewed increasingly in the future as heartless and selfish. That is what abortion is. It is the ultimate act of of deception and selfishness.

Q - Do you believe we will end abortion, and if so when? (Explain)

A - I know we will see abortion end, it's just a matter of time. Many states now are proposing abortion bans. I think by majority rule abortion will have to be overturned because there is now too much evidence to support the unconstitutionality of Roe vs. Wade. In 1973 there was no such thing as Post Abortion Syndrome or evidence of long term psychological harm to the woman. Roe stated that unless women had the access to an abortion their emotional health could be hurt. Now we can prove the opposite. We can also prove and have won so many legal battles that it can only lead to the overturning of the most henious law ever passed in America to date. I think people have finally realized we created and inflicted the largest holocaust known to man on ourselves and that if we want to survive, we had better end it.

Q6 - Do you agree with embryonic stem cell research? What about birth-control?

A - Scientifically research has shown embryonic stem cell research is not the best option in obtaining cures for disease and it is not the best option for genetic engineering in preventing cancer or genetic defects. It has been shown that the most promising answers to these problems actually come from adult stem cells and sadly, the media has largely kept this information from the public. As far as birth control, with my background as an RN I know there are options such as the rythym method and natural pregnancy prevention measures that I believe are OK. I believe in a mix of modern, ancient & western medicine is the best answer to our health problems. I think that natural methods and barrier methods for birth control like oevr the counter jells are alright. Anything that doesn't destroy a fertilized egg is appropriate. Spermicides will kill the sperm, but won't kill the fertilized egg. I believe that method is biblically, morally, ethically and medically sound.

Q7 - What Blogs do you read?

A - I read yours of course! (marchtogether.blogspot.com - The main web site is http://www.marchtogether.com) I also read Renew America frequently & write there occasionally. I also like to read what the Pro-Choicer's are discussing on their major sites. This keeps me informed of their "strategies" and helps me determine the best course of action for us in political manuevers and policy development. Keep your friends close, but the enemy closer as they say!

Q8 - What advice would you give to other bloggers who would like to expand their audience and influence of their weblog?

A - I think the best way for bloggers to be heard is to keep writting their views, link together and I would like to see all Pro-Life sites, blogs and leaders unite. Your website is the best idea I have seen in awhile and if people would implement this it will better organize our efforts. We must be united and find solidarity amongst ourselves. The enemy is strongly and highly organized, efficient and very well funded. We absolutely must do the same. It is imperitive for our ultimate success and victory.

I would like to see all Pro-Lifers and I mean everybody, no matter how big or small come together under one umbrella and that way our voice will be united and the strongest it can be. I would love to see all the Pro-Life leaders and organizations unite with your site and ultimately I think a lobbying effort that represents all of us which is millions, would be the best way to have our voices heard on capital hill. If there is a central site people can sign petitions and this be delivered to lawsmakers instead of being splinted, this would be the most effective way to get action on our behalf.

Q9 - What is the focus of your pro-life blogging activities?

A - The focus of my website is Hope Clinic for Women in Granite City Illinois. I try and educate the public about the wrong doings that have happened there and that continue to happen there. I know that this year there will be a major campaign to shut this abortion clinic. I don't want to give away any details right now, so stay tuned!

Q10 - Do you believe blogging is making a difference in the battle for the pre-born?

A - Blogging is definately making a difference for the pre-born. People have used alternative media to spread the word since the traditional media has refused to listen to our concerns. They are now realizing freedom of thought and expression cannot be stiffled. We will continue to make our voice heard even if it's not on the evening news. I have learned the Internet is really our best weapon against the abortion industry. I can tell you from experience abortionists & clinics fear the Internet because this is where the truth comes to life. I encourage all Pro-Lifers to continue blogging and running sites. Like the demons and Satan himself tremble from the truth of God and his word, abortionists tremble and fear the words of the Internet! Trust me, I know. When I was sued the abortion clinic tried to get a 5 year gag order on me plus they tried to take my right of free speech away by trying to get me to sign an agreement banning me from speaking on the Internet! Can you imagine the audacity of these people? I told my attorney I'd rather die by machine gun fire! No abortionist or clinic will ever take my first amendment rights away by the grace of God. That's not his plan for me and I told them no way and I won in court. Speaking out everyday on the net is our most effective tool. So everybody keep typing!

Q11 - What do you think about MarchTogether.com, a program which calls Pro-Life people to speak up for the unborn on the first Friday of the month, and to encourage them to picket an abortion mill on the Saturday after the first Friday?

A - It is an idea for which the time has come. All Pro-Lifer's must get aboard with your efforts! I srongly support your work and I know it's what the Pro-Life movemenet should have done years ago! Please everybody join in. We can win this battle together!

Q12 - What more do you think people could do to help end abortion and challenge the culture of death?

A - I think people need to keep speaking up everyday. Everyone that values life can daily do at least one phone call, email, fax, blog to protest abortion. It's not hard at all. Abortion has persisted because the church and people of morality have been quiet and forced into submission, but they don't have to be! That is what drives me crazy about it. If people really make a concerted effort and unite abortion will end. Apathy is deadly and so is abortion. We have seen what 33 years of apathy have done. We can't accept or tolerate abortion any longer. Like I say on my site,
"Abortion is a dead end". It's true and we must stop it. God gave me a voice, and I intend to use it.

End of interview --------

Thank you for all you do for the unborn Melanie.

Melanie - so, I take it you would gladly carry the child to term if you became preganant due to being raped, is that correct? Would you be upset with this circumstance at all, or would you just cheerfully accept it? Self-righteousness is so easy when you personally are not involved in the consequences being espoused.

I'm sure your mind is closed - this will not change your mind. But my hope is that perhaps, for a moment, this harsh-but-honest line of questioning might make you think outside the confines of your insulated little world.

Good day.

What a surprise, it's another mindless 'what about rape?!' abortionist. This is exactly why Roe v. Wade needs to be overturned - in a real debate which can only be possible when legislatures actually get to make their own abortion laws again, you abortionists would get your clocks cleaned.
