In reference to your article "Sioux tribe plans to scalp its own" ,
I think it is important to mention that the Oglala Sioux Tribe as a whole IS Pro-Life. Cecelia is the one who is making pro-abortion waves, and she will be held accountable for it. I am not at all concerned that there will be a Planned Parenthood on the Pine Ridge Reservation because:

1. Planned Parenthood themselves said there would not be one (Apparently, Cecelia spilled the beans too early on a PP POST-Roe v. Wade plan to use reservations and the Canadian border to continue performing abortions),
2. Cecelia has already lost a great deal of popularity and credibility with the tribe over OTHER stupid ideas of hers, and the tribe will not stand for this, and
3. The only two Native American doctors who would be legally able to perform abortions on the reservation are CATHOLIC.

FireThunder and Giago are more loyal to the Democratic party than they are to their own Lakota way of life, but they are on the fringe. To those who PRACTICE their way, there is an expression - "All children are sacred." THAT is where the true Oglalas stand. Not with Cecelia.

By the way, if you are interested in assisting the Oglalas with their Pro-Life voice, I would recommend doing an article in support of Bruce Whalen who is a Pro-Life Lakota running against Stephanie Herseth this year for a seat in the House of Representatives. PS- I would be remiss if I didn't also mention, however, that it was CUSTER who attacked the Indians first. The Oglalas were defending their women and children and had already warned Custer previously to leave them alone. He didn't listen, and he is responsible for what happened to him and his men. And throwing insults at the Oglalas - Who ARE Pro-Life - because of a couple of misguided members of their tribe is not a good way to help the Pro-Life movement continue growing.
