I think it is important to mention that the Oglala Sioux Tribe as a whole IS Pro-Life. Cecelia is the one who is making pro-abortion waves, and she will be held accountable for it. I am not at all concerned that there will be a Planned Parenthood on the Pine Ridge Reservation because:
FireThunder and Giago are more loyal to the Democratic party than they are to their own Lakota way of life, but they are on the fringe. To those who PRACTICE their way, there is an expression - "All children are sacred." THAT is where the true Oglalas stand. Not with Cecelia.
By the way, if you are interested in assisting the Oglalas with their Pro-Life voice, I would recommend doing an article in support of Bruce Whalen who is a Pro-Life Lakota running against Stephanie Herseth this year for a seat in the House of Representatives. PS- I would be remiss if I didn't also mention, however, that it was CUSTER who attacked the Indians first. The Oglalas were defending their women and children and had already warned Custer previously to leave them alone. He didn't listen, and he is responsible for what happened to him and his men. And throwing insults at the Oglalas - Who ARE Pro-Life - because of a couple of misguided members of their tribe is not a good way to help the Pro-Life movement continue growing.

By the way, neither Cecelia Fire Thunder NOR Tim Giago are the "chief" of the tribe. The Chief is Oliver Red Cloud and he IS Pro-Life.
