...well, marijuana smoke that is, and don't smoke cigarettes anywhere or they'll fine us $500.00!
Why is it that liberals love killing potentially unwanted human beings so much they call it "a woman's right to choose", but when it comes to cigarette smoke they have a fit?
Calabasas, a town in California banned cigarette smoking everywhere in public.
"People have a right to breathe clean air."
People have a right to live too, but that's not as significant as opposing the nasty leaf that so many enjoy.
Libs protect snail darters, spotted owls, trees and baby seals, but human beings in the womb are the lowest on their list of what to protect.
I was in Colorado a couple of years ago. All around me were the modern libs, many self-proclaimed Buddhists. Buddism forbids killing a worm or any living human being. Modern libs get around this by saying it's not a human being until it exits the womb, and besides, remember, it's a "woman's right to choose". I digress, the point about modern libs in the hills is that they are against cigarette smoking. They toke up all day long on Marijuana, but pull out a cigarette & you become as evil as an owner of Wal-mart!
Freedom? They claim to be the biggest supporters of freedom on the planet, unless you smoke.

I would ask you to please be careful about making generalizations about liberals. There are members of this blogroll who identify themselves as liberals. I know that the majority of liberals are pro-choice, but it's still unsettling for someone who is a pro-life liberal to read sweeping statements about liberals not caring about the killing of the unborn.
Two days ago I was called "morally wrong" by a pro-choicer because I believe abortion should be illegal. If I come here and people are saying that liberals are all baby-killing hypocrites, I feel like the whole world is calling me immoral.
Just adding a few qualifiers like "a lot of liberals . . ." or "so many of these people who talk about compassion . . ." would soften the blow and show that you understand that it's not all liberals who are that way, that you understand that people like me do exist.
Point taken. But the majority of liberals are pro-abortion, so generalizing isn't incorrect is it? After all, by saying "libs" I am saying "in general".
You won't find many Buddhist, Marijuana smoking Republicans. I've never met one anyway.
To be in favor of the 'right to choose' abortion is, currently, a liberal position rather than a conservative one, if we are to use the progressive/reactionary political descriptions.
People who are liberal on most issues may be conservative on abortion, but it's true that most people who consider themselves liberal are liberal on both smoking and abortion, meaning that they are anti-choice for cigarettes and pro-choice for abortion.
However, conservative pro-lifers should probably try to avoid picking unnecessary fights with liberal pro-lifers, especially on websites which are completely dedicated to the pro-life issue. We need to work together on this.
Do we not challenge the "culture of death"? Whom do we speak of when we say those words?
Besides, I've never been known to be politically correct. I say it as I see it.
If someone were to say to me "Republicans are spending money like drunken sailors", I'd say, yep, they sure are.
"Republicans are spending money like drunken sailors"
But wouldn't it be better to say "The Republican leadership in Washington is . . .", since there are lots of rank-and-file Republicans who are very much opposed to the current economic approach?
LOL, okay, you're right, in this particular case it would be more correct to say "Republican leadership".
In the case of abortion one can be general though. It's not just "Democrat leadership" who support and defend abortion, it's the majority of Democrats as well. The generalization is valid.
In the summer, it is generally warm. In the winter it is generally cold. Democrats are generally against war, believe they're more socially progressive, believe they're more intellectual, believe that President Bush is an idiot, and believe that abortion is a "woman's right to choose".
I generally get distacted when doing ...
Hey look, a bunny! ~J~
