A year ago today, at 1 p.m. March 18, 2005, the long, painful and barbaric process of the court-ordered execution by starvation of Terri Schindler-Schiavo began when her estranged husband Michael Schiavo removed her feeding tube which provided her nutrition and hydration. - North Country Gazette
Amy Welbourn gets it right:
Today, perhaps we could pray for all of the severly disabled in our midst, and pray for those who care for them. In gratitude for their lives, their strength, and their witness to the sanctity of life. And, if we sense the urgings of the Spirit on this score, pray for the courage ourselves to step in and help - to ease the burdens of those walking this challenging road of fidelity and love.Check out ANNIVERSARY OF TERRI SCHIAVO’S COURT-ORDERED EXECUTION

Hey,
Something else pretty tragic happened three ago that's killed way more people than Terri Schiavo. The start of the war in Iraq. Of course being "pro-life" and everything, you don't care about all the lives lost over there. You only care about unborn babies...
Terri Schiavo was an unborn baby?
But, seriously, this is not a forum to discuss war, and that should be clear.
There are good things and bad things about war. Yes, war is always a failure for humanity and is always evil, however, sometimes it is the lesser of two evils.
I would argue that the American Civil War was worth fighting since it ended the atrocious evil of slavery, yet over 600,000 Americans died during that war. I would argue that America was right to take on Germany and Japan in World War II, though it resulted in the deaths of 400,000 American troops. You might disagree, but, as I said, this is not a forum for such discussion.
