Christina Dunnigan from RealChoice runs a few Pro-Life blogs to help get the Pro-Life word out. She not only trys to help the unborn through her blogs and efforts, but she is also an EMT and helps save the living.
The power of God is working through all of us in our cause to save His children / our children. I know that legally ending abortion alone is not the final answer, and I know there are many other pieces to the Pro-Life puzzle. Fortunately we are diverse in our efforts and through our different missions we help put together the puzzle one piece at a time.
What is your Pro-Life project/blog to help end abortion? (brief bio)
My primary blog is RealChoice, at http://realchoice.blogspot.com. The focus is on abortion's impact on women, especially when abortion turns deadly for the mother. I also address common ground areas. My target audience is what could be called the "reticent prochoice," who want abortion to stop happening but can't see clear to support recriminalization. I think that if I reach them, we can get a strong "Third Way" going that addresses women's real needs.
How and when did you become involved in the proLife movement, and did something happen to you or someone you know which helped you recognize that abortion is wrong?
The short answer is available here: http://realchoice.blogspot.com/2005/05/why-abortion.html
Do you believe all abortions are wrong? (Explain)
Yes, except for indirect abortion in which the death of the fetus is an undesired but unavoidable side effect of steps necessary to save the mother's life.
How does God fit in your project?
I was a prolifer for about ten years before I became a Christian, but I think God's hand was there the whole time. This is simply the task He's set before me.
Where do you see the Pro-Life movement headed?
I think it's about to fragment, with a rift between hardliners (who preach judgment) and outreachers (who preach forgiveness)
Do you believe we will end abortion, and if so when? (Explain)
We can't end abortion any more than we can end any other human evil. The best we can do is contain it.
What would you like to say to those who might share a common bond with your ideals and methods, and what can people who read this interview do to help your project and/or end abortion?
We need to work hand in hand to address women's real needs, and to stamp out the lie that mothers and their unborn children are enemies.
Do you agree with embryonic stem cell research? What about birth-control?
Embryonic stem-cell research: Evil. Birth control: That's a broad category, but I'll assume you mean contraception. I don't think it's inherently evil but I think that it points us in the wrong direction
What Blogs do you read?
After Abortion, The S.I.C.L.E. Cell, Pro-Life Blogs, Dawn Patrol regularly.
What advice would you give to other bloggers who would like to expand their audience and influence of their weblog?
I can't give advice on that because that's largely what I'd like to learn myself.
What is the focus of your pro-life blogging activities?
Read here
Do you believe blogging is making a difference in the battle for the pre-born?
Absolutely. We're an outlet that the abortion lobby and its stooges in the MSM (mainstream media) can't control.
Have you heard of MarchTogether.com, a Pro-Life effort to unite all Pro-Life people once a month in order to send out a united message to our representatives to encourage them to end abortion?
Yes
Final words
| Keep on blogging!
