Is there such a thing as an "allowable" number of abortions?
Do we care that people we buy from, vote for or give money to support agencies who perform abortions or do we ignore such things and only look at their "greater good"?
I saw this connection at the DeoOmnisGloria.com web site and couldn't believe my eyes when I clicked on the link which went directly to a United Way web site.
As we become aware of representatives, corporations or charities who support abortion we should turn away from them. If we don't turn away from them we should challenge them to stop supporting abortion.
Most people know that abortion is murder. To support a corporation who supports abortion is to finance killers.
The United Way is one such organization.
They openly support abortion and recommend abortion clinics. Look at this "Program Profile" from their web site:
Program Name: AbortionsDescription: For teens and adults in their first trimester only. Local anesthesia used. Parental consent not required. Fee covers pregnancy test and post-operation examination. In addition to cash and Medicaid managed care payments, major credit cards are also are accepted.
"Teens" to them means any girl older than 12 years old, and as is most often the case, Planned Parenthood pushes for laws which stop you, the parent, from finding about the abortion they talk your daughter into having.
If the United Way believes abortion is helping people than you need to decide if this is what you believe "helping" people means.
They also say this for Planned Parenthood on their site:
Mission: Offers women options for personal choices in relation to child-bearing.
Take a moment to contact the United Way of New York. Here is their information:
For more information, contact Raquel DaSilva at rdasilva@uwnyc.org or 212-251-2506 or contact Robert Polkowski at rpolkowski@uwnyc.org or 212-251-4054.
Be nice please. Just ask them to please stop supporting abortion and Planned Parenthood.
United we stand - Divided they die - Pass it on

My husband and I refused to give to the United Way through work over twenty years ago because some of the money went for abortions. And we still don't give to that organization for the same reason.
This is not right!
GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT!
This is not a United Way supported agency, this is their database!!! Any organization with a tax exemption, including pregnancy centers are listed in this database. The United Way does not fund them and they are not a PARTNER agency.
I am a pro-life activist and thoroughly checked and double-checked my local United Way. United Way of America and the local United Ways are NOT connected, do not share funds and make local autonomous decisions with groups of community volunteers. United Way of America supports no one but themselves as do local affiliates. Some United Way affiliates support PP while most do not, but all have databases that they refer to that include any 501(c)3 that wishes to be listed.
I am a loyal boycott list follower and haven't had a Pepsi in 3 years for that reason, but if we boycott without checking the facts, we just look stupid.
You can't make untrue generalizations like that! Check your local affiliate and then act accordingly.
I WAS WRONG!
Further research shows that they are a Partner Agency and I am an idiot. :)
