For those of you who have already had abortions or are thinking of having one, and for you men out there who have or are pushing your women into having one, I am not the one condemning you. I'm not the one judging you.
What will happen though is you will judge yourselves. Though statistics aren't available for men, women commit suicide after abortion at a rate 2.5 times that of a woman who hasn't had an abortion, 6 times that of a woman who has delivered a child and twice the rate of a woman who has had a miscarriage.
To add to those stats:
previous studies draw links between women who get abortions and an increase in substance abuse, anxiety, sleep disorders, suicidal thoughts, psychiatric illness, relationship problems and risk-taking behavior, which could easily lead to death by suicide or accident.
Pro-choice people will have you believe the numbers were fabricated. They will present you with their own studies or even the same studies presented in different ways.
Let's get real now. Everyone knows what an abortion is. Mankind has known what abortion was since the dawn of time. The whole "clump of cells" thing doesn't even work with children. Go up to any child and ask what is in the womb of a pregnant woman and you will hear the same thing every time...a baby.
So who else is condemning you for being pregnant in the first place? Those who give you the reasons for having an abortion.
> Too expensive
> Will cramp your lifestyle
> Population - Too many people already
> You have your whole life ahead of you
> Education
> Unwanted
> Mistake
So on and so on.
Who are the ones who don't want you to have an abortion? The ones who are willing to help you with the realities of being pregnant. There are thousands of birth clinics who provide free pre-natal care. There are thousands of couples waiting to adopt a newborn child. There are thousands of churches who will go out of their way to find resources necessary to help you and millions of people who will reach out to help you and your child as well.
The only support you will get from a pro-choice organization is maybe someone to lean on as they escort you out the door, post-abortion. Then the lonely reality of what you will / have done will sink in.
It's time to go Jesus on you. If you have already had an abortion, don't despair! First, get down on your knees and pray for forgiveness, not just for the abortion, but for all your sins. You are not alone. You will start to understand that we have all done wrong and can all be saved by the grace of Jesus Christ.
Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Find a church with people who will listen to you. Do not, I repeat, do not go to a church who supports abortion. If you hear leaders in the church speaking for abortion or any kind of "pro-choice" message, run to the next church, and make sure to ask their position on the topic.
Don't hurt or kill yourself. Get help. The links at the top of MarchTogether.com are for those of you who need help. There are plenty of people who still love you & will help you.
After you have gotten yourself together, find a Pro-Life movement to support or volunteer for. We need every hand/voice we can get to help end abortion.
If you are thinking of having an abortion, don't. You know what it is and it obviously it is not something that is easy to live with.
As for you men out there. Be a man, not a coward. What kind of man asks his wife/girlfriend to kill his offspring anyway? It is not a woman's choice to kill human beings and you know it. You just want the convenience of not having to care for or spend money on your "mistake". Women need our support, not our blessing to kill our/their children!
When I was a teenager I went around everywhere saying "Jesus loves you". It is still a good thing to say, because it is true for each and every one of us. :)
