Criminal Ethics

A man quit his position at an embryonic stem cell research and human cloning facility. He quit because of what he considered ethics violations.

LifeNews.com article

It wasn't just any guy off the street who quit though.

It was a "key partner and leading apologist for the embryonic stem cell research and human cloning activities".

Why did he quit? "He says the research team is involved in ethical problems relating to how it obtains human eggs from women for its studies."

Really?

According to an AP report on the statement, Schatten cited reports written last year in the scientific publications Science and Nature. The articles raised ethical questions including an allegation that some of the donated eggs for research came from one of the female scientists.

"My decision is grounded solely on concerns regarding oocyte donations in Dr. Hwang's research reported in 2004," Schatten said. He said he still believes in the promise of Hwang's research, which has drawn criticism from pro-life advocates.

He doesn't have a problem with creating and destroying human life on a daily basis but he has a problem with where the eggs come from?

Isn't that bizarre?

I find it hard to believe they have an "ethical" problem with using a researcher's eggs for a procedure which kills human beings. As a matter of fact, since these folks are scientists you can bet they have killed hundreds or many thousands of human beings in pursuit of "God Mode".

God Mode allows you to play a game without dying. Appropriately enough it's a cheat code in games.

This kind of reminds me of an interview I saw with the Iceman, a criminal hit-man who was caught and sentenced to life in prison. When he talked about his "hits" he spoke matter-of-factly about them. He casually told about how he would kill people and how disappointed he was in people who would beg for mercy. He would say these things as calmly as if you were telling a story about how you saw a boat on a river. Then he would talk about his family and how he missed them. He became emotional and was crying when talking about how he would never see them at Christmas or share in their joy again.

Ahh, the beautiful thoughts of a murdering hit-man. Gives you a warm glow doesn't it?

Abortion, stem cell research and cloning. Modern scientist hit-men are no different then the Iceman. They have their own moral code and happy thoughts. The problem is, the moral code and happy thoughts of these murdering scientists don't come close to what I expect scientists to have. I expect them to be looking out for the best interests of mankind without using us as guinea pigs!

We denied research performed by the Nazis because it was morally reprehensible. We should deny research done by the criminal scientists of today for the same reason.

Unite with us to speak out against abortion and other human "scientific" research. Join us at MarchTogether.com for the Monthly Call for Life. We email, call and march in opposition to abortion. Pick one or all of the actions you want to take and help end abortion.

Do something. The unborn need you. Without you speaking for them they have no one, and 4,000 people will continue to die a silent death every day.

I would like to tell you that i strongly disagree with your notion that stem cell research is murder. The definition of murder is when somebody purposly kills another person for "their" well being. For you to compare the scientists that are working hard to find a cure for people that are dieing from cancer, killers is very low on your behalf. These scientists are not trying to recruit people to "go get an abortion", that is the individual's own desicion. We are very close to finding a cure and and you people have nothing else to do but find resons to disagree with science and ignor their new discoveries.

You say:

"The definition of murder is when somebody purposly kills another person for "their" well being"

The dictionary defines murder as:

"To kill (another human) unlawfully."

A person in the womb has his/her own unique DNA. When women kill this person for no reason other than '"their" well being' that would then by your own definition be murder.

Thank you for agreeing with me

If a woman murders her child for medical advancement it is still murder.

We are not close to finding a cure for anything through embryonic stem cell research. Name one single cure. You cannot. On the other hand there have been many cures using adult stem cells.

Here is an article that might help you further:

And finally:

My main point on Stem Cell research remains. What is important in this topic is the primary question. Is an embryo a human being?

Of course the answer is yes.

Dictionary.com
defines an embryo as:

“An organism in its early stages of development, especially before it has reached a distinctively recognizable form. ”

If DNA determine that a unique human being is created at the moment of conception then stem cells should not be extracted from that person.

Adolph Hitler used the handicapped, gypsys, Jews and other undesired people for experiments. Embryonic stem cell research is just as evil.

Hey Peter, are you a scientist who is trying to work on finding a cure but suddenly all the funding was cut? I did not think so, so how can you say there are no cures and we are not even close. Do you even know about the new research processes, where a fetus is not murdered? Once again, I didn't think so!

You didn't give a link to anyone who claims to have a cure so I'm assuming you have no such evidence. That isn't even the point though. The point is that we shouldn't kill people for research. The Nazis did that & the world agreed not to use the knowledge gained, even though it could benefit mankind.

The new research processes still play God. They manipulate human life & I will never agree with doing that.
