In a recent post, Media Girl tries to persuade readers that the pro-choice position is the "big tent" position and provides some stunning contradictions.
She claims in one sentence that, "Pro-choice means tolerance for all views."
Except, of course, for the prolife view.
Throughout the post, she goes on to describe prolife people as "radicals pushing their dominionist agenda," "people who don't believe in fundamental human rights for all Americans," "intolerant," and "people who want to kick (pro-choicers) out....of the very fabric of our society."

Media Girl need only look to the once-great Democratic Party, which has effectively excluded any pro-lifers from their party. Had she been paying the slightest attention at the judicial nomination process, the Democratic Party's primary concern is whether that justice will bow down at the altar of the tragedy known as Roe v. Wade. The President could nominate a squirrel to the Supreme Court and if somehow it could communicate support for Roe, Dems would shout a chorus "YEA."
Tolerance among pro-choicers? You will not find a more intolerant group of people.
This Media Girl is very very right. lifers are very closed minded and radical, very much like satan. Satan is very radical.
it's sad that lifers are so narrow minded and intolerant - though I would personally not have an abortion at this stage in my life, I am extremely grateful for the right to make that choice for myself - not my government. what you don't seem to understand is that pro-choice does not mean anti-life. It means that each women has the right to make the decision for them selves. Would it be okay for a law to be passed that said every time a pregnant women could possibly die without an abortion, an abortion was performed? Certainly not. If you want to sacrafice your own life to save your babys', you have every right to do so. If you don't want people telling you you must have an abortion under certain circumstances, what gives you the right to tell others that they may not have an abortion under certain circumstances? I think some people are so involved in trying to run other people's lives, they don't even see the hypocrisy.
Hol,
Isn't abortion not very tolerant of the unborn child? Doesn't abortion decide what will happen to the unborn without consulting them?
Please explain how it is hypocritical for prolife people not to want legal abortion and also not want forced abortion. I'm trying to understand your reasoning.
Isn't odd that pro-choice people who pride themselves on tolerance are often quite intolerant of views that don't match up with theirs. For example, you call prolifers hypocrites simply because you seem to not be able to understand their view. That doesn't seem very tolerant to me.
