Conservatives are already rallying behind Samuel Alito, Jr, President George Bush's latest nominee to the Supreme Court.
Mypoic Zeal has a great introduction - if it’s a fight for what’s right, I say, bring it on.

Confirm Them: the Left isn't happy.
Kathryn Jean Lopez asks for predictions: So, do we think he'll be confirmed by year's end. He should. I'm fearing the Senate Dems are that unreasonable that he may not. The Left has been dying for this fight. The longer they keep this going, the more fundraising they can do.

Just as the Left attacked Roberts, it will attack Alito. But President Bush has again selected an outstanding nominee whose intellect, character, experience, and, not least, proper understanding of the role of the courts will earn the deep respect of the American people and of all fair-minded observers.Several pro-life bloggers expressed disappointment that Janice Rogers Brown did not get the nomination (she was my pick). Captain Ed comments,
Now Bush has nominated a jurist with a solid track record and a reputation for a scholarly and consistent approach to Constitutional issues. However, unlike some of the other people on the list, such as Janice Rogers Brown, Alito does not produce a knee-jerk reaction on the Left. The two organizations that have pushed the disastrous obstructionist strategy for the Democrats, People for the American Way and Alliance for Justice, don't even have a ready profile for opposition to Alito, despite his long residence on conservative short lists. He later concludes, "Bush may have hit the home run we wanted with the first nomination."

StoptheACLU - Ruling against the ACLU? I think we like him! With the nickname Scalito, after Scalia because of his judicial philophy…this is definitely the kind of judge the president promised.
