Women of Operation Outcry call on President Bush and the Senate to select a justice who is willing to look at facts and evidence unavailable in 1973 and to examine the evidence on how abortion affects women and families.
"There is not one aspect of my life that has not been affected by my abortion" said Dianne Donaudy, Georgia State Leader for Operation Outcry. "We must have a nominee who believes in the ' Rule of Law,'" she said.
Operation Outcry represents over one thousand women whose affidavits, testifying to the way abortion damaged their lives, have been filed with the U.S. Supreme Court. These affidavits were also filed with the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee during a recent hearing on the consequences of legal abortion. Norma McCorvey, the former "Roe" and Sandra Cano, the former "Doe" testified before this committee that they were manipulated to achieve the political agenda of their attorneys and that their cases were based on fraud.
In her testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee Sandra Cano stated, "I am angry. I feel like my identity has been stolen and put on this case without my knowledge and against my wishes. How dare they use my name! One of the Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court said during oral arguments, 'What does it matter if she is real or not.' Well I am real and it does matter. I was in court under a false name and lies. …Doe v Bolton is based on a lie and deceit. It needs to be retried or overturned. … Abortion is wrong. I love children. I would never harm a child yet because of this case I bear the guilt of over 46 million children being killed. The Court is also guilty."
"Sandra Cano is a Georgia native. The women of Operation Outcry stand with her as her case moves through the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta. As a woman who has suffered many years from my 'choice' to have an abortion I applaud her and love her," said Donaudy.
Abortion is the key battleground for the President's nomination to fill the vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court. We implore the President and the U.S. Senate to select a justice who will have the courage to revisit Roe v Wade and Doe v Bolton . The court needs to hear of the devastation to women that that has been caused by their 1973 decision.
It is time for America to know the truth about abortion and to hear from women who have reaped the consequences of killing their own children.
